Rosemary (the owner) is very welcoming, and makes you feel as if you've known each other for years. The building is a beautifully converted barn on a dead-end country road, with central breakfast area and a galleried upper floor. Every fitting and piece of furniture is of the best quality, and the beds are very comfortable.
In spite of a bereavement in her close family just days before our arrival (of which we were unaware), and having to look after another relative on the night of our stay, Rosemary found time to surprise us with a lovely warm fruit compote to have with our breakfast, having placed it in the Aga the evening before.
Anyone reading this, please don't be put off by what you might think is a slightly high price: you really do get what you pay for, and it's worth every penny (as repeated numerous times in her visitors' book!).
