I was a client at Mark Daniel Barbershop for over a year and a half - and I always showed up. Earlier this week, I missed an appointment for the first time. Instead of contacting me to reschedule me for later in the evening or the next available day, their system automatically charged me $62.00 for a service I did not receive. I honestly thought it was an accidental automatic charge from their system until I received an email from a different employee writing to me using Mark's email account days later that any appointment I make will be automatically cancelled and that they would prevent me from going back if I did not reverse the dispute. I understand that barbers work on commission, but this was the first appointment I ever missed. The barber's calendar was completely booked for that day anyway so they didn't lose any money. I never purposely missed an appointment, and there was one time last year I had to cancel last minute because of a family emergency - which was months ago and I notified them 2 hours in advance that I couldn't make it - I rescheduled and went to that appointment. There's a way to handle premium clients that consistently show up, and for that reason they lost me as a client.

I can only get down to them on Saturdays, so I walked in and Lilly was who I got on my first visit. She is terrific, cut my hair exactly as I asked, and I walked out looking great. I have made an appointment with her for the next visits, and she always smiles and gives me a great haircut. I also like that she's quiet and I can relax a bit as she does her work.
