Over the past three months, I've been trying to buy my mom a new cell phone. She has been using an…read moreoutdated iPhone since the pandemic hit us back in 2020, so she had asked me to upgrade her phone without upgrading her cell phone plan. Sounds easy, right? Anyways, I started this project at the local AT&T branch near my house. Turns out that you cannot buy a phone without a plan, so that was a dead end. So I went to the Apple Store in Park City Center, Lancaster, to talk to someone there who could assist me. The young lady basically told me to go outside of their store for a new phone, so I turned to Best Buy via their app. It was a very simple process to purchase a new phone without paying too much money and not having to go through her cell phone provider directly. I decided to pick up the phone at this location, and that was also a snap. The young lady behind the counter was very helpful and I was able to get her phone in my hands in less than five minutes. This was a perfect and painless way to get what I wanted without too many hassles in between. I look forward to coming back here again soon!

Great customer service today, so I'm pleased with Best Buy today. Our past is another story. No need to bring up old complaints since many years have passed, but I just don't get paying retail. If there's a deal to be had, I'll find it and have it delivered. Brick and mortar shopping hasn't been my preferred method for shopping for awhile, unless we're talking Apple Store. Haha. Not sure I'll be back for anything any time soon, but it was fun looking at all the new TVs and computers while waiting.

So of course I dropped my phone face down on the ground in the one un carpeted area at work. It didn't sound catastrophic so I wasn't TOO worried, but lo and behold, it was broken and broken in the way that every touch of the screen was a possible painful papercut. I googled phone screen replacements and I can get my own new screen for around 45 dollars. I can get my own tool set for replacing screens for anywhere from 10-30 bucks, I can just watch a 7 minute video and do it myself!!!! Or I can take it to UBREAKITIFIXIT and have it fixed in a couple hours. Sure it cost a penny (over 10000 pennies) but it got fixed, they were nice, they give a 10% military discount and I have a fixed non finger damaging phone. It does feel like each text is a bit more effort, not sure If I need to adjust something or what. Oh yaa, and you can go online and make your apt, and get a pretty accurate estimate relatively painlessly.
