Absolutely the worst before the sale customer service I have EVER experienced. I went to the…read moreLeesville, La Branch of Cellular One this morning to transfer my line to a new carrier. When I applied they asked of a social security card before they could complete the transaction. I am 63 years old and have never been asked for my card...I did not have it with me and even if I still have one tucked away somewhere would still have to do a search for it...they said it was something new with no explanation... I left very unhappy and went to another carrier down the street...they could not provide me with coverage where I needed it...I then went to the local Social Security Administration to see if I could get another card...2 weeks waiting period...they did give me a receipt and told me to see if that would help...I took the receipt back to the Leesville branch Of Cellular One and had to wait will the rep there socialized with another customer...watching a horse race on his phone. I finally got my turn and handed her the note and asked her to call the lady again and to also point out the last line on the receipt from the SSA that clearly state do not carry your card in your wallet. They faxed a copy but did not point out the recommendation from the SSA...the person on the other end stated that they would still need the card. I asked, Why? Their answer was they didn't know...the rep I was talking to asked another staff member to come out of the back to talk to me...he waddled out with earphones draped around his neck...his answer was the same he didn't know and get this he actually said: "I don't care"...I said you are actually saying out loud you don't care he replied the same, I asked him for a number of someone I could talk to and was told there was no number and to "have a nice day"...he was done with me...the conversation was not pleasant at the end and he repeatedly said: "have a nice day goodbye". One person there had no input and sat in a corner and offered no assistance...the female rep offered no explanation nor sought one...the male rep the came from the back offered nothing but insult. If this is the before the sale customer service can't imagine what it would be after. A more thorough search of the internet may find me a number in the Office of the President...I can't imagine how he would react if treated this way anywhere he may do business...I certainly can't believe he knows he is being represented like this to the paying public.

Copied from my public Facebook post. "I am beyond upset…read moreright now. I rent from the local Aaron's here at Fort Polk Louisiana. My family and I went into the store in Leesville Louisiana to take a look at any new products they received for the new year. After meeting my family and I, the manager of the location looked up my information in his store computer. This seemed innocent as we were looking at some couches and I mentioned that I already had an account with them. Later that afternoon, I got a notification on my social media that I was added as a friend via my phone number. After asking this new "friend" how I knew them, I was astonished to find out it was that manager from Aaron's, Gary Owens. He went in to his company computer and took my personal phone number, placed it into his own personal phone, in order to find me on social media. I am angry, I am appalled and most importantly, I am scared. This guy has already proven that he will break the trust between his company and I by using my personal information for his own gain. This leads me to the fact that he also has my address in that computer. As of yesterday I filed a police report on this incident. In this day and age, A woman cannot be too careful. Even if this is the way he picks up women in this area, what is to say that I won't become a news story of a woman found on the side of the road after a "small" incident progressed into something much larger. I called Aaron's this morning to voice my concerns to them and they seemed completely unfazed. They didn't even care to get my police report number. They told me I would get a call from their regional manager within two days. I tried my best to explain to this woman how scary this situation actually is, yet she did not seem to care. I am writing this post not to get sympathy, not to have my loved ones worry about me, but to try and at least warn women. We should not have to worry about creeps using our personal information when working with a company. I truly hope this goes viral and I hope corporate puts a fire under their ass about this man and his actions."
