Earlier this winter, I properly winterized our irrigation system using the blowout method. Not long after, we noticed unusually high water bills and suspected a leak. We brought in a plumber to inspect the house and Cox Irrigation to check the irrigation system. The plumber ultimately found the issue--a water heater problem--but Cox Irrigation told my wife (while I was out of town for work) that they found no issues and left. A few weeks later, Winter Storm Fern hit. Shortly afterward, we discovered a major irrigation leak. That's when we realized Cox Irrigation had turned our irrigation system back on during their earlier visit--and left it on--meaning the system was no longer winterized going into a freeze. We had them return to provide a repair estimate. They identified cracks in our previously intact above-ground backflow preventer but completely missed the larger leak. My wife approved a $1,300 repair based on their assessment. As I became more involved, it became clear that Cox Irrigation's actions may have directly contributed to the damage. I contacted the company to raise this concern and ask for a reasonable adjustment to the bill. Instead of any attempt at resolution, I received a call from the owner, Joe Cox, who responded with a profanity-laced tirade. He dismissed our concerns, claimed we couldn't prove anything, and hid behind the fact that the repair had already been approved. He then escalated things further by threatening to come onto our property and remove the backflow preventer--despite me clearly stating multiple times that we intended to pay the invoice (that actually breaks three laws in Texas). This was not just poor service--it was deeply unprofessional and aggressive behavior from the owner of the company. At no point did he attempt to listen, de-escalate, or provide even basic customer service. Between the apparent mishandling of our irrigation system, incomplete diagnostics, poor communication, and the owner's conduct, I cannot recommend Cox Irrigation to anyone.

He was able to diagnose the issue quickly while the guys from the company that takes care of our lawn were clueless, came out unannounced while I wasn't home, said everything checked out fine (it was not fine) and when I called them back told me it would be six to eight weeks before they could come back. Fidel was outstanding to work with, explained the issue in a very understandable way and quickly went to work. When he finished he set the timer in my system to irrigate in a couple minutes. Presto! The system works once again! Fidel returned the settings to where they were and charged what I consider to be an incredibly low fee. I highly recommend LaRaza!

Apparently Sam Brown, the father was ill, which I am sorry for. But it took an extra year. Then I started calliing to get the pressure tank delivered - about $1800. i wanted to see how it would be placed so I could protect it once it was down. I emailed Sam and his son, I texted, I called many, many times with no answer. Sam finally answered one day and said he was better but there was a medical crisis (maybe his son; I don't recall). He said he would go look. This was about a month ago or a bit longer. He told me he would call me within 2 days, but he didn't. I finally reached him and he said that someone had stolen it. As he was not even working during that time and now there is another medical crisis, I don't believe him. My gate is always locked and the goes back about 1200 feet before you get to where the well is. I had plenty of other things people could steal if they wanted to...and nothing else was taken. There were cows, and since I hadn't built the well house, the pipes were broken off the well, which I am happy to replace, and am replacing. He said the pad was there. Well when I checked, there was a cheap piece of plastic with no indentation on it, no indentation on the ground. It was NEVER there. We got out there regularly and no one came in there and took a pressure tank! It is absurd. I was never notified that they would deliver it (I specfically askee to be notified so I would be there when it was delivered). No one had answered my phone calls or emails. I finally told him, after he said would call and didn't that I would talk to an attorney, so now I have no recourse, as he is threatening to block me because I call and text and email, but he doesn't keep his word! THE LOCAL WHO REFERRED HIM APOLOGIZED! He said he doens't know why he did it and he should have referred Jackson's. If you want delay, no communication, etc, go ahead and use them, but I heartily discourage you. I will be happy to take this down if I get my pressure tank, or proof that it was delivered....like a photo of it on my properlty easily taking by a phone.

Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I specifically asked for them to call me when they were on the property so I can open the gate. When the appointment week came and went I started to reach out. Despite multiple attempts over the course of two weeks, I didn't hear back. Finally, when I reached someone, I was told they couldn't find the parts needed to complete the job. Oddly enough I was also informed that they completed the job and didn't need to call me because it was done outside the privacy gate (which I had never been made aware of). After a month of unanswered calls, I managed to get a hold of them again. This time, I was told they came to my property 4 times and called me, yet there was no sign of them on security footage, nor any missed calls from them. When I asked if I should just find another company to complete the job, they agreed that I could--at that point, it was clear they had no interest in resolving the issue. This company is unreliable, unprofessional, and doesn't follow through on promises. I would not recommend Cody Irrigation and Landscape, LLC to anyone.

We had a tree trimming project that required tall ladders and tree climbing. Marco is very good about communicating via phone/text and responded in a timely fashion to my text questions. He also confirmed the appointment ahead of time. He was willing to drive 1.5 hours to work on my project. Marco and his crew used safety harness/fall retractor when working on high limbs. He is very mindful of the safety of his crew. The wind was too high to safely cut the high limbs the first day so they worked on lower limbs and came back the next day for the high limbs. Marco and his crew came back until the job was done to our satisfaction. He confirmed which limbs were getting cut to make sure he was cutting the ones we wanted. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves, trash/limbs/branches were all removed and hauled off. They were respectful of the property. I will hire Marco again for future tree trimming needs. He gave me a recommendation for a roofer and I plan on hiring them based on Marco's recommendation.
