I called them and everything went fast and smooth, easy process through email , didn't have to go in person . I got court date which I didn't need to attend at all and I got my ticket dismissed. I am glad the ticket will stay out of my record and my insurance rate won't be affected.

After the initial court date was set, they also never updated me to get my side of the story. Possibly that's normal as there was nothing I could say to help, but overall I felt like I had to chase down every update from them over the course of about six months. The communication I did get was usually automated and not relevant to me. Only when I called would I get a real explanation of what I needed to do. Each time I called, I had to leave a message with the front desk, wait for a call back, and call back again in a few days to do it again before getting to talk to someone who could help. I also was never provided the proof of my payment to the court, which I had to contact them several times for. If they can get you off a technicality, then this process is probably worth it, but if your case goes beyond that, it felt a little a tiring. They're definitely a high-volume firm and not geared for personal service, and I guess the price reflects that, but know what to expect. All that said, everyone I can into contact with was very friendly and willing to help. They were very pleasant to work with, just wish I didn't have to contact them so much.

Emails go for a week without a response and their receptionist is frequently gone during regular business hours sending you through to voicemail. James was great to work with; very knowledgeable, and straightforward. The office staff and assistant are why they get 1 star. I went to James because my mother used him for her estate, but for probate or anything other than drafting a simple document I would look elsewhere. It seems like they don't have the time of day for their "clients". I believe we were also overcharged in a deceptive manner. We were told that because of the life insurance policy that we would likely need probate instead of a small estate affidavit and we found out months later that the life insurance fall outside of probate and we dealt with MetLife separately.
