Hired to help mouse proof my small home. Did initial inspection for over $200 and that doesn't get you anything but pointing out areas. Would have been required to pay over $1000 for them to come and fill all areas and provide a guarantee. Decided to have him come back and close off the main access points only. This was another 500 dollars and I had to be the one to point out obvious entry points he was going to overlook. Not to mentioned that twice he failed to show up to do the work, or even notify me that he was not going to show, for appointments. When he did come back the effort made on the potential entry points was minimal and in some areas did not completely block the holes. In the end I spent over $750 and it was worthless. read more

Squirrel in the attic. Guy came over, never looked IN the attic, and left a trap on the roof. It blew off. He came and put it back. Then came and got the trap and vanished. Totally unsuccessful and incompetent. read more

Repeatedly had to call to pick up animals in the high heat or pouring rain. I had to move or cover animals in distress for safety and comfort. They don't do their job. Typically had to call 3x or more to pick up distressed animals (raccoons, possum). Highly unreliable & disinterested in the animals' welfare. Often unavailable by phone, the answering machine repeatedly not connected, often off for vacations. You will be calling them repeatedly to do the job that they are paid to do. They do not follow-up or follow-through on resetting traps (have gone 7-10 days w/o someone coming out even after several calls. Do not give them the benefit of doubt. Takes advantage of any good will & continues their neglectful practice on both you and the animals. Unacceptable, unprofessional and inhumane. The website & glowing reviews are utter promotional lies. read more

I had Critter Control install a one-way door on my roof to remove bats and close up other areas where they could get access to my home. The gentleman named Rick, have me the wrong estimates. His inspection alone is $250. Altogether, the visit was $500. Way more then what he had quoted me. He was not professional and didn't climb on the roof, he looked with binoculars from the yard. He installed the one-way door and was supposed to come back out to the property to remove it 3 weeks later. I've called him two as a reminder and he still has not come out. His schedule is all over the place and I'm sure he doesn't have a written one anywhere. If you're looking for professional and a business that takes pride in what they do and how they great their customers find a different company. read more

I called Critter Control to get rid of a bat problem in my new house (which is actually a very old house.) They would not give me a set time when they would be here, so I had to wait around all day just for an inspection. I finally called and the manager, Rick, said he was on his way. When it came time to actually come out and bat- proof my house, again there was no appointment time- he just said that his worker would be out some time in the next week. Sam came and filled some gaps and put some check valves on, which he said he would be back to remove 2 weeks later. He never came back to remove them. A few months later, we still had bats. Since there was a one year guarantee, I called to have them come back out and check it out. He told me they would be out sometime in the next week or so, and would call me when they were on the way. 3 weeks later I still had not received a phone call or service, so I called back. The manager's response was "Uh oh." No apology or anything. He told me he would send someone out soon. After a few minutes of vague responses to my questions about setting an appointment time, he finally pinned it down to 9 am a few days later. Sam came out found a few places he had missed. It took him about half an hour. It is winter time and we still have bats in the house. I called to request at least a partial refund so that my husband and I can just do the job ourselves and Rick said he would check with Sam and call me back. He didn't call. I called corporate to complain. The lady was very polite and apologetic, but would not grant my request for a refund. She said that she would call and speak with Rick and that he would call me back. That was three days ago and I have still not received a phone call and I still have bats. I would not recommend Critter Control to anyone. Their customer service is abysmal and not only do I still have bats, I am out over $700. read more

Would not hire them again. I also hired them to do an inspection and do pest control to remove bats from my roof line. I had to call them multiple times reporting the bats were not coming out the 1 way valve but above it. Even with a 1 year guarantee they didn't get rid of the bats. Fast fwd to April 2017, BAD hail storm, totaled my new steel roof so when they removed my dented roof I called them about an est to get the bat proofing replaced. They wouldn't give me an estimate, they wanted to know what the Insurance was going to cover. Uh! Since when does price or work depend on what $$ the insurance company is paying. Then it got to where they wouldn't return my call. So asking advise from my son, he hooked me up with a guy he served in the Iraq war with. He gave me a 4 year guarantee on bat proofing. Yes I did spend a bit more BUT I haven't seen a bat since. He was here when he told me he would be and explained the whole process of getting rid of the bats. Joe from Catchem Critters (the good company) also helped me with a few other critters you get when living in the country. Check them out!
