I'm having my hardwood replaced in four of my rooms. DJ, Roy and Dylan S. Loaded my furniture into the Unit pods and they were very careful and diligent as to make sure nothing was damaged and everything was loaded perfectly. They even made some additional suggestions on antique marble and glass pieces that I might want to find room for in my home so that they "for sure" wouldn't be damaged while the pods were being moved to climate storage. They were kind, pleasant and very professional. I have requested that they come back when my furniture is ready to me moved back into my home. Five stars to these guys! I cannot emphasize enough how unprofessional and inefficient these movers were. We had a total of 10 items to move with nothing for them to pack, and it took 7 hours and $1300. None of our furniture was wrapped, mattresses were dropped on the sidewalk, and couch cushions thrown up over the outside railing. They took an extra 40 minutes to arrive to the new address with all of our valuables, and later said they stopped at the gas station for drinks without notifying us. They used incredibly vulgar language outside in our neighborhood, and left their tools at the first address, requiring one of us to drive back to get them so they could finish the job. Overall, they had bad attitudes about what they needed to do (their job), and seemed incompetent in how to efficiently load and unload items. Frankly, we were scammed, and I would not recommend them to anybody. I would give them 0 stars if I could. read more

Just like the star system says, it was an ok experience. Some things good. Some things not as much. Let me start from the beginning. They were pretty easy to schedule with. We got them to come on a Friday and they showed up during the timeframe they gave us. The guys came in and evaluated and got to work. The crew started off really efficient and got things out really fast. Once we started to get to the end, they showed concern for not thinking the truck was going to be enough for all of our stuff. Once that happened, there was a lot of slowing down. We offered the back of our personal vehicles and they were happy to load them. But still not enough room for everything. We were told a 2nd truck was coming to get the rest. But that remained up in the air for hours. When it came down to it, they never sent one. So our crew had to go back for a 2nd trip. As you can imagine loading and unloading from 9 AM-10:30 PM, the guys were wiped and moving slow. Which was the progression throughout the day. They did give us some time back to reconcile. But it still was a little bit of a pain. The guys were careful with our stuff. But I have had better experiences moving. Again, I would rate it as a pretty average experience. read more

We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Crocker Moving Services. We hired them (on a recommendation) to help us get items into a portable storage unit. They were so fast and efficient that it blew my mind! We were so impressed with their integrity and their courtesy that we will definitely be using them again when we need to unload that same unit... and when we need to hire a moving truck/movers for a larger residential move! Tbey were hired to deliver new mattress I purchased for a lake house. they failed to show up the first two times at all claiming the truck broke down just before they were to get to me at the end of the day -- after keeping someone waiting for hours. Then re-scheduled a third time as "first delivery" Four hours later they finally call. Do NOT use these folks. read more

I used Crocker moving services to move my things from Birmingham all the way to Nashville. Scheduling was as easy as a simple phone call letting them know the details of what needed to be moved, where to go and when I wanted them there, and they matched everything to the T. Pricing was over $500 cheaper than I could find anywhere else. The crew was very careful with my items, and moved quick! No messing around. We used these guys to move stuff out of our storage unit into our new home. They were fairly on time and start charging by the hour when they leave their facility. I think this is fairly standard practice in the industry so I'm ok with that but now with how they calculate time. They calculated 45 minute drive time to and from Homewood to Pelham. (It was a Saturday morning with no traffic, this is a 25 min drive maximum.) Also, the guys didn't come prepared with drinks and said they'd need to stop at a gas station on the way to house to get drinks. Not wanting them to waste more time on the clock I went and paid to get them drinks. I also noticed one of our movers took a couple smoke breaks while our clock was running. They didn't seem to mind running our time up when the job should've taken half as long. Not pleased and wishing I had just recruited some friends to help me do the move myself. Glad I didn't count on Crocker Moving to provide their service. The woman who answered the phone didn't seem too adept in asking adequate questions without my prodding. She said they have a newer system and she'd get back with me either later that night or the next day for a quote. Never heard back. I'd used them about 9 years ago for my previous move but cannot recommend this lack of service. Not the way to treat potential customers who would recommend others. They arrived at 815 AM and we were moved from Birmingham to Cullman by 230 PM! It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are the worst!!!! The workers are either not trained how to pack people's valuables or they just do not care. They packed everything in the largest boxes they have, including dishes, stemware, glasses, cookware, books, making transport and storage disasterous. I found boxes turned over in my storage unit as if they had been thrown in. They did not wrap or attempt to protect my furniture. They left half of my belongings in my house and I had to hire someone else to finish moving me out before the new owners could move in. Boxes labeled "FRAGILE" were found crushed like they had been stepped on. I could never received an accurate receipt even after several requests. I paid almost $10,000 for a seven (7) mile move. The contents could have fit into a 10x15 storage unit if they knew how to stack the contents and had not put everything in huge boxes they couldn't lift. But because of their incompetence, I had to purchase a second storage unit that was less than half full. They were supposed to pack up my entire house and garage. Most of my furniture and the contents were left and they never touched my garage. I had to hire someone else to finish the job. They are nice until they get your money then they stop communicating with you. I found this company to be incompetent, unprofessional, lacking in customer service, and generally callous and indifferent towards their customers or the items entrusted in their care. AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Shop around, get quotes, read the reviews. This company was recommended to me by my realtor. Using them was the worst mistake I ever made​. read more

This was a disaster. I am still traveling back to the prior residence to move what they did not bother to pack and move. The linen closet was left completely full. Nothing moved out of it. Outdoor furniture was left on the back deck. There was clothing left in the closet and not just a few items. This was a complete closet full of clothing. It is a sad situation when a company does not do the job that they are hired to do, but they do want to be paid. read more

Dustin and his partner (sorry man I never got your name) arrived within their window and worked tirelessly to move everything I had to my new condo. I used Crocker Moving because of good reviews but mainly because I thought the company was owned and operated by Veterans. The movers I had said they were not military affiliated. Moving is expensive no matter the company. Other than a few nicks here and there the move went smoothly nice guys. Just disappointed it isn't all Veterans, The Owner is a Veteran. read more

They took almost twice as long as expected because 1 of the 2 men did very little moving. Kudos to the man who did almost all the moving. They were 30 minutes late getting started and charged me 45 minutes travel time for a 15 minute trip (per real time check with google maps). read more
