Crofton fulfilled a 1800Flowers order I placed for a milestone birthday for my grandmother. I ordered an extra large bouquet priced at $70+. What arrived was a tiny bouquet that you would probably pay $20 in the grocery. I reached out to 1800Flowers, who apologized and said a replacement would be sent the same day. Well, Crofton sent someone to my elderly grandma's home to retrieve the original bouquet and no replacement was ever sent. This is truly horrible! You deliver a bad product, are instructed to replace it, but all you do is go to an elderly person's home and take away their birthday flowers? I would avoid this place at all costs. 1800Flowers is sending a new arrangement from a different florist and launching an investigation into Crofton. read more

I had forgotten to order flowers for a funeral. When I went on line , i realized that I could not get them delivered in time. I ran down to Crofton Florist 10 minutes before they closed. They were kind enough to make me a bouquet and I came back 20 minutes later to pick it up. They saved the day and the flowers were beautiful. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered directly from their website the attached picture of a Christmas tree bouquet. What a received was the next photo. Everything from the expected flowers to the vase were disappointing at best. What should have been a beautiful Christmas arrangement for my mother since we can't be with her for Christmas, turned into a horrible, mediocre at best arrangement. I worked in the floral industry, I know that this is not an acceptable delivery. Don't waste 80 dollars on an awful product. The local grocery store does a better job. Wonderful place to get flowers delivered. Always freshly cut and magically arranged. I've gotten roses, lilies and some others bouquets so far from 1-800-flowers in Crofton-Bowie area and omg I'm so thankful to the master florists behind these wonders. Highly recommend this place! read more

This florist was contracted out thru Ava's Flowers for a funeral spray for my sisters funeral. The arrangement that Crofton Florist sent was horrendous! It looked nothing like what we ordered, they included no bow, nor did they include the sash I ordered and paid for that was to read, "Beloved Sister." I received a vase for my birthday on May 19th. It was from my daughter. Since I have experience in floral design, when the arrangement arrived, I noticed it looked a bit wilted and the flowers looked a bit old. The tulips in the arrangement were already losing petals and the sunflowers were droopy. The alstro looked ok, but they last a while, so I dumped the old water, gave the flowers a little cut and put them back in the vase The next morning, they were all but dead. I used to work in floral design at Homestead Gardens and not one arrangement left the premises without Fresh Flowers. I ordered flowers for a funeral. First, the florist did not call to confirm the location of the viewing. The viewing was held in gambrills and the flowers were sent to the Annapolis location. I had to drive to pick them up and deliver them myself. The funeral director indicated how poor the service was if he didn't receive a call to confirm time of viewing or location of viewing to coordinate delivery. In addition to having to hand deliver the flowers, which caused me to be an hour late to the wake, the flowers were not sold as advertised. The bouquet was tiny despite the fact that I ordered and paid for the largest bouquet. Some flowers were dead and droopy - really? Funeral flowers dead and droopy? It was pathetic. This place is the WORST! If you ever want any flowers delivered do NOT order them from here. Twice they messed up my husband trying to order flowers for me and sent to my work. The first time they claimed they couldn't find my workplace- which is NOT difficult to find at all. They delivered them a day late. The second time was this past Friday on my birthday. My husband gave them another shot- ordered two weeks in advance because he had to work on my birthday and wanted to surprise me. At 4:50 pm my husband just sends me a ? Asking if I liked the flowers? I'm like what flowers? I just left for 13 minutes early to beat traffic and I received nothing. My husband said they sent an email confirming that they were delivered at 4:18 pm. Nope. I was there.Then I come to work today and the cleaning lady who comes on Sundays said they were left outside the office door and she brought them in. Unbelievable!!! if you could put no stars for a place that is what i would do! do not ever order or do business with this company! our family friends funeral was today and they never delivered the casket spray! instead of being able to be apart of the service we were on the phone calling trying to find out why thr flowers were not delivered- when we called they continually hung up on us! we were not even able to have the flowers for the funeral! this is a horrible business and they should be ashamed of them selves for doing this to a family mourning a loved one! i truly hope their business is shut down and i will be reporting them to the better business burrow! read more

Be careful when you order flowers from here. My sister in law sent these to my mother for when she had surgery and when she saw them they were nothing near the quality she thought ordered. The flowers were shoved into the vase and the water had leaves just floating around. When asked to replace them they took them and didn't replace them for two days, which slightly defeats the purpose. read more

Crofton Florist did a beautiful arrangement for the funeral of my daughter's best friend's father. When I called the order in, I asked them to be creative with coordinating the arrangement to the casket arrangement the family ordered. They selected a blue and white theme to represent his Holland background. I explained that I don't care for the standard FTD ones. I was so happy to learn from my daughter that the family loved them. Worst florist I've ever user. Basket delivered was 1/2 the advertised size. Took 3 days to get through to somebody to complain. The business phone just rings and rings. Someone finally picked up on the customer service line. They didn't do what they said they would to remedy my complaint - even though they have a "satisfaction guaranteed" policy. Terrible business. I called to order Valentine's flowers last week. The florist said it would be a wire order which I expected. I asked for an AM delivery. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. Yesterday Valentine's Day at 4 o'clock I had to go to Crofton florist because my delivery has still not arrived! I had to insist that they call the delivering florist and when they did it turned out that my delivery was the last one for the day. And that meant that it would not arrive until well after 5 o'clock when my recipient had already gone home. I am all about small local businesses provided they offer some type of customer service I was truly disappointed in the way I was treated. I received flowers for my birthday from this florist. They not only arrived a day late, but they were the completely wrong bouquet. My Aunt had ordered me a sunflower bouquet but I received roses and daisies. There was already brown spots on the roses when I received them and by day four 6 of the 12 had died and now, 6 days from receipt, all the flowers are dead. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Shame on me because I have tried them three times in two years and they failed to deliver at all once, and missed the requested delivery window twice. The third time I tried to surprise my wife with a bouquet and they delivered late afternoon when they had guaranteed me morning delivery... She helped me carefully select the perfect arrangement for my sick grandfather and did not get annoyed even once when I redid my card 3xs!! Extremely poor quality, incredibly unprofessional staff. I received an arrangement, a thank you gift from a family member. It was left in a white garbage bag behind some bushes near my front door. My husband thought it was trash. The arrangement had broken and old flowers and was not close to what had been ordered. The owner argued that I received a special vase and ribbon. I received the flowers in a clear water glass, no ribbon. I was told I would have to return the arrangement if I wanted something new or credit issued. And, no confirmation would be received for the return or credit. I was rudely told that my family member ONLY spent $20. I asked for a replacement that met what was ordered. I received an even shabbier set of flowers, some actually curled and dried up. Please do do give this establishment your business. You can get something better for LESS than $20 at the grocery store. Shame on this proprietor. And, what do they do with the returned flowers...send them to the next customer? read more
