I bought and consumed a turkish spinach pancake and two almond sweet cakes here on 27.8.2014.
I also went to the depressingly understocked fridge to take one of the two bottles of water on offer. I should have listened to the little voice of sense which was repulsed by the stickiness of the bottles, but I was hungry and thirsty.
I ate and drank all I had purchased whilst sitting in the Oosterpark. The only other thing I had eaten that day was a peach from my usual greengrocer.
Around 9 or 10 pm I began to feel unwell, I had a lump in my throat and a taste of sulphur... shortly after that the vomiting began, violent convulsions left me no time to reach the bathroom, so I trashed a bath sized towel which just about caught all that came out.
Unfortunately I had managed to digest some of the offensive material and around two in the morning I felt as if the Grand Prix was taking place in my intestines.
I have spent years travelling in the East, India, Thailand and Nepal and this was to compare with an attack of dysentery.
I write now at 11 am after a night of horror, one more vomiting attack and countless explosions of the nether regions, my head is splitting, I feel terribly unwell and still have sulphurous burps, although I have managed to keep down some sips of water.
I am also sending a copy of this review to Nederlandse Voedsel en Warenauthoritiet in the hope of saving others from this revolting fate.
