Ive only been out here over lunch and late afternoon ( Im a cheap skate who loves the early bird offers) Even then usually have to wait for a table - but max has been 10 mins & you can sit in the bar area with a drink whilst you await to be called I love the salad bar, and would be quite happy order that as my main - though i dont think they give you this option. I have found the service to be fast & friendly - never had any issues. Food is good & plentiful. Overall this place is great value for money

I had intended to read some course material at breakfast but this proved impossible with the extreme low lighting Unlike my previous experiences at Premier Inn, the cooked breakfast order was cooked to order rather than being swerved buffet style. They were however very generous with the choice of items available The juices, cereals, bread, yoghurts and fruit salad were available to help yourself I was disappointed with the lack of flavour in the sausage and bacon in my cooked breakfast. The quality of the food didn't measure up to previous experiences and I did regret pre-booking what is quite an expensive breakfast Fortunately the friendly staff made it a good start to the day nonetheless

I think this is largely overlooked by a lot of people but it's worth visiting for honest wholesome food. It's especially popular with my parents and I have to admit we have never had a bad meal here. The bartender showed me how he makes a dry and medium martini including the different proportions. Simple, huh? What I found amazing was the quality was repeated from drink to drink. Not often are bartenders that precise (The only place I've seen that standard was in Tokyo's Imperial Hotel "Frank Lloyd Wright" lounge). In Plymouth, treat yourself to a work of art in the Refectory Bar in the form of a perfect martoonie , mixed and served in wonderful surroundings by "PhD mixologists".
