Jenna, from the venue was on-site. I told Jenna that one of the two sinks in the men's restroom wasn't working. She came into the bathroom with me and wiped down the sensor, but it still didn't work. She said she would have someone look at it. Saturday, before the wedding, we went to the Old Barn for pictures. We left around 4 PM and my daughter told Jenna that the caterers were scheduled to be there at 5:00 and the wedding was at 5:30. We would be there after the wedding. A few minutes after 5, I got a call from the caterers. The venue was refusing to let them in because my daughter didn't have a member of the wedding party on-site. I started making phone calls and I spoke to the caterers and to Jenna and she informed me that not only did they require someone to be onsite, that person could not leave the premises. My brother ended up missing his niece's wedding ceremony because of this. While my brother was there, he informed Jenna that the one of the two sinks was not working. He was not aware that I had reported it the day before. Jenna told him "add it to your review" and walked away from him. My brother also asked Jenna why they required someone to be onsite when we used approved caterers and why it was never mentioned prior to 30 minutes before the wedding? Jenna told him it is in every contract. I submitted the contract to AI and it said there is nothing in the contract that states we must have someone there. On the contrary, it states my daughter was responsible for scheduling the caterers, which she did. She told Jenna at 4:00 PM the caterers were scheduled for 5:00 PM. Jenna never mentioned we had to be there. The caterers and bartenders apologized to us, several times and said they had never experienced that situation in the 18 plus years they have been working Salomon Farms. My brother asked for Jenna's supervisor, and he was eventually allowed to speak to Amanda. According to my brother, Amanda was rude and did not make any reference to being sorry for the situation or cared that my brother was missing the ceremony. This place wasn't cheap but my daughter loved the location. We spent a lot of money to be treated like crap by Jenna and Amanda and my brother missed the ceremony due to poor communication and lies. Very disappointing. In the greater scope of things, it was a wonderful service and we had a wonderful time, it is just beyond our level of understanding how this happened and how the site did not express an iota of compassion for the situation. They claim it was in the contract by I searched the contract and AI read the document and neither of us could find it. So thank you Jenna, Amanda and the Fort Wayne Park District for a stain on what was otherwise a wonderful day.

We were only there a few minutes...I had my dog on my lap on the swings. I had this feeling I was being watched, there was another person with me, but they weren't in view. The feeling was overwhelming, so I got up and walked towards my party. A few minutes later a man in a hood, hat, and sunglasses came walking out of the sketchy looking apartments nearby. I had an overwhelming bad feeling he was coming to harm us. So, I grabbed everyone and we walked away from him, because of the hills around he couldn't see who was all with me. When he finally got a view he stood there and starred at us then walk away. We decided to leave, as we were leaving there were to girls at the pavilion drugged out of their minds. This park seems like a dangerous place, with all the hills no one would see you if you were grabbed. I know we will never go back. If you decide to go there use caution and don't go alone. There is something definitely very sketchy going on in the apartments next to it.

This park has it all.: swings, climbing wall, musical instrument area, big hill slide, a great "rolling" hill, small natural forts good for water balloons or capture the flag, and a warm season water play area which is a natural design with logs and rocks rather than the typical metal on concrete sprayers. There's easy parking and a small community garden across the way. There's a picnic pavilion and bathrooms (the standard picnic pavilion kind,... but better than nothing!) After going in the wrong (south) entrance, we found one of the few remaining parking spots and started walking to the other end of the park. Be careful when walking through this park. There are a lot of cars and not a lot of room to walk on the street. There were many baseball games going on on this Friday night. Every baseball field was being used as well as the bating cage and playground. Eventually we found the turtle at the very north entrance to the park. It was worth it. We took some pictures and got many steps in.

The owners are nice and the bowling alley is clean! Plenty of space for my large family. The bowling alley workers were dedicated towards there job and were happy to help us whenever needed. Most small town bowling centers I have been to, are a trip back in time. Likewise, the bathrooms really smell bad, or there is the lingering ghost like smell of cigarettes past. So when I visited the Wawasee Bowl last month, this was what I was expecting to encounter. However, when I walked into the place I was really amazed. My friend Jenny told me the bowling center had been completely renovated over the past year, and it looks very bright and fantastic to say the least. The automatic scoring has been replaced, and the lanes were completely redone. Sadly, I didn't have a chance to bowl at Wawasee, but I can tell you the food is excellent! When one thinks of the culinary offerings at a bowling center, greasy burgers, pizza, french fries, and heartburn all come to mind. In fact, I was feeling apprehensive since I didn't bring any Alka-Seltzer with me. So I decided that since it was Friday, I would try their fish fry, and I was very happy that I did, as it was very good! Jenny, told me that the Wawasee Bowl also serves up some great lunch specials. The next time I go to northern Indiana, I plan stopping in and trying them. The only reason I didn't give this review a 5, is because I didn't bowl why I was there. With that said, next time I will bring my ball and shoes with me. This place is what every small town bowling center should strive to be.

I don't live in the area and decided to take my sister out for a lesson. We had not ridden…read morerecently, quite out of shape. The lesson was fun while be challenging. They know their horses and are able to match horses to riders for a safe but fun lesson. The lesson horses where not beat up and seemed to be happy in their job. I would recommend this barn.
