The pastor, his wife and the congregation welcomed me as their Sister-in-Christ. Attending several churches my whole life, I never heard the gospel of grace presented the way Pastor Walter teaches. I had accepted Christ many years ago but, at times, questioned my relationship with Christ. The Lord God opened my eyes to His truth and it changed my life. I went through a very trying time during the 3 1/2 years I attended. Our church showered me with love and compassion, which helped me heal and move forward. I was involved with a small group there and it was my favorite time during the week. Fellowship, a meal and deep study of the word. There's nothing better than that! I moved away in 2019, but visit when I can while in the area. I highly recommend, if you've never stepped foot in a church or possibly quit going, give HighPoint Fellowship an opportunity to show you love, acceptance and the truth of God's word. This church is very commercialized selling craft items in lobby, a for profit coffee shop, don't expect any complimentary coffee. Advertisements are a constant regarding the "Woodland Church", I guess this is more important than Christ's church. The sermon was good but it is piped in from the central church which has a impersonal feeling. The worship music is good and modern, but the worship pastor are dressed in hipster style, and wearing a baseball cap does not show respect to our God. Keep looking there are much better churches out there that are not as commercialized.

I spent over 10 years here and recently all the elders but Corey Elder put me in a meeting and…read moreLOCKED me in the room and started to berated me while surrounding me about some issues I have that are directly related to health and I admitted these issues and I said which you hear in this secret recording, that I have already been dealing with it in home first. They said good but ignored it and berated me and I told them that due to my trauma and anxiety issues from childhood I would not be receptive and this would probably cause a panic attack. Yet they didn't care. You hear in the recording they would ask me questions and when I go to answer I don't get to finish since they would cut me off and kept doing it until I told them to stop interrupting me when they asked me a question and told and it only got worse. I did go into a panic attack and I don't remember bits and pieces after that since I was told by doctors my minds defense to keep itself together after panic attacks is sort of mini black out moments. They even said at the beginning of it that my medical issues are not to be brought up since they aren't doctors but know my issues steam from medical. I am BEYOND appalled that I used to call them friends and family. Now I know that even after 10 years they still hold mistakes I did from that long ago. They brought it up time and time again, yet they don't hold each other accountable for some of their issues they shared with me that prevent others from going to this HORRIFIC church. I trashed any and all items or memories that had this logo on it. After that meeting, and after I was let go, I went home, not remembering parts of the drive due to my mental state and just remember getting home and having more panic attacks until I think 5pm then my wife gets a call by one of them because I told them I was blocking them after the harm they caused to me and they refused to take ANY ACCOUNTABILITY OR EVEN APPALOGIZE to me for the harm they put me through and when I ripped that "elder" a new one for the mental harm they put me through, he NEVER ONCE APPOLOGIZED and instead enforced a ban on us. So if anyone has any mental health issues or makes any mistakes even in home groups since some of the home groups started spreading things about me (one of the elders told me in the meeting) just find a new church since the leaders NEED TO GROW A LOT MORE before they deal with ANY COUNCELING. They are not ready to lead this congregation or counselling sessions since they can't take accountability for their own screw ups towards members of the church.

There is also a children's ministry, nursery, and a mom room for mothers of newborns. This is the best kept secret in Atascocita and must be experienced to be truly understood.
