Dont waste your time or money booking here. The road to get in and out is absolutely ridiculous. I made the mistake of not reading ALL the Google reviews. Take your time and read them (including the 5 star ones) I stopped counting at 25 of people who complained about the road and it went back years ago. You try to avoid one pothole or washed out area just to hit the next pothole or washed out area. It was so bad we stayed somewhere else. We loved our stay here! It's clean, quiet and not too big. The owners (Steve and Sherry I think?) go out of their way to make sure guests are well taken care of and don't have any concerns. Our fifth wheel is long and a few of the spots are tricky, so the owner was nice backup to spot us while we parked it. There is a nice lake for fishing or relaxing and they even have a sweet non-denominational church service on Sunday mornings (in season). If there is only one downside, it's the lengthy entry to get into the park. It's a gravel road that shouldn't be taken quickly. Really looking forward to returning! read more

The site was good, but could have been much better. I know it's in the woods but the spiders were really infested in the cabin. In particular the loft area. My 10 year old was fishing with my brother in the catch and release pond and was struggling with a fish that had swallowed the hook, when someone with the park approached him saying something about giving the fish CPR... just a note, be careful when speaking to children you do not know. My Son has Tourette's syndrome and anxiety which together can be a nightmare... after trying to sleep the night before and finding multiple spiders, we moved him to the couch and then he's already worried for the fish that my brother is trying to help him with, and he's approached this way? Outside of that, enjoyed the snapping turtle who hung out right by the cabin on the pond...our favorite part was watching the little fish eat crumbs from our dog food at breakfast. The very friendly deer that hangs out on the property was a great experience for my son, and to the ladies that greeted us when we got there, you were a pleasure to meet! Stayed for Independence Day weekend and had a blast. Everyone was extremely nice. We stayed in the Halfway cabin and it was great just for the two of us. Our friends were in the Boathouse cabin and we sent lots of time down there around the campfire. read more

Staff is friendly and sites are clean. Priced right. Very wooded sites and near a large pond. A bit tricky to get into the sites but staff was on hand to help. The biggest problem is location. You drive on a long, unpaved poorly maintained road. Then you go down a 150 foot drop on a steep bumpy road. All with a 43 foot 5th wheel. Not fun. I would say 75% of the sites are long term rentals so this likely isn't a problem for most guests. read more

We went this last weekend with short notice. They were able to give a pull through site. It was great time. The pool was nice and clean and so is the lake. You are given free miniature golf coupon when you check in to use at their golf course. The office staff kind and very accommodating. We will definitely go back again. read more

This gem of an RV Park has it all, topped off with very friendly owners and staff who you can tell love their RV Park. It is so well taken care of and peaceful with never-ending things to do and a location close enough to other attractions as well. We rented a cabin here for a weekend getaway and it was a great experience! This campground is well maintained, clean and has lots of things to do. The people who run this obviously really care about the campers experience while they stay here. The Cedar View cabin we occupied is above the general store. It was clean and stocked with dishes and other random supplies you may need. You do need to supply your own bed sheets, bath towels and pillows though. The grill for our cabin was charcoal so plan ahead to bring some coals as well. The fire pit was nice and they sell firewood for 50 cent a log so easier to buy it there then haul some with you. They are pet friendly which was one of the reasons we chose this campground. Our bulldog was quite comfortable inside the cabin in the A/C while we explored the lake area. The only gripe I have is the road leading into the campground is gravel and a complete bumpy mess. This is not the fault of Cross Creek, but the city really needs to grade that road! As we left the campground we were already planning our trip for next year! Highly recommend Cross Creek RV Park. read more

Very rude UNPROFESSIONAL staff. Do not go unless you want to be disrespected, children cussed at, and MY Autistic toddler was quoted Forest Gump at. Will NOT be back. Also the gravel is awful for walking (need a 4x4 to even think about getting around). Do NOT GO unless you have a lot of cash on you, EVERYTHING is nickel and dimed. Cross Creek is a secluded camping area near the Lake of the Ozarks. Tent camping is $25 for a night and includes a free game of mini-golf for each camper. Cabins are available but none were when we decided to go (on a whim). A fishing boat, paddle boat or canoe can be rented for $5 for a half hour or rent a fishing boat with a motor for $8 for a half hour. The price includes use of life jackets for all as well. The "pavilion" hosts kids activities on Saturday morning, Kareoke on Saturday night, free hay rides, and a non-denominational church services for a half hour on Sunday morning. There is a pool lakeside which is very nice. There is no swimming in the lake but because it is a private lake, you can fish without a permit. A small store on the property affords visitors with things like lighter fluid, hot dogs, gatorade, ice-cream, coffee, fire wood, etc. There are also a few (not many) souvenirs available for purchase. The campground also has some other activities which we did not take advantage of (visit their web site for info). There are also a couple hiking trails but both times we camped here it was too hot so we did not get far before turning back. We really enjoyed our time at Cross Creek in August 2010 and June 2011. One more thing...don't fully rely on a GPS to get you to the campgrounds. Take down the number and call when you start to get lost, because you probably will. My GPS did not recognize the highway once we got close and I hear that it is a common problem. The people working are more than happy to help you get the rest of the way (which is only a couple miles). read more

Biggest problem with this place is the mile and half drive and parking your camper. If you don't have 4x4 then forget it. Everything at this place is nickel and dimed. They increase the rate $2 per night for the holiday, they want to charge $3/extra for our 4 yr old since we had two adults and 3 kids. They charged fifty cents for each piece of wet wood. The pool chairs were yucky and need to be cleaned or replaced and the deck needs refinishing. Thank goodness we had four wheel drive because the rv sites are on a gravel hill and we never would have gotten backed in. The camp fires and picnic tables are at the back of the sites so you can't even site under your awning. That makes for the picnic tables and fires to be right next to your neighbors, no privacy. The road getting in is rough riding pulling a $70k camper behind our truck. Driving in you go past many run down and abandon mobile homes. We would never consider staying here again. Most of the park seems to be all year around people who can't help but stare at you when you pull in. There are way nicer place to stay at the Lake. read more

Great place to camp. They have many permanent campers, but still have plenty of room for those who like to come and go. Great activities, nice clean pool, great store incase you forget anything. There is a playground, nothing fancy, but my two year old loved it. A pond where you can boat and fish. The road to get to the campground is a little rough, but keep driving and you will get there. Lake of the Ozarks and plenty of activities are nearby. read more

Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and had an outstanding experience. We had car trouble about a mile away from the site, and they sent staff to pick us up and take us to our cabin. They also provided transportation the next day to help with getting the car fixed - exceptional people! Stayed in the Boat House Cabin, and it was perfect. The entire area is very well maintained, and there are plenty of fun things to do. Highly recommend Cross Creek if you are looking for a fun get away! read more
