My wife and her friend. Has been there for over a week. I'm going up tomorrow, Wednesday, to bring the camper home. They have truly enjoyed there stay. The park is very clean and that includes the restrooms & showers. When I first took our camper/trailer up there I had a problem connecting to the sewer because my hose was to short. The park attendants was very helpful. My wife read some of the less favorable comment on google and found them to be a little picky and untrue. After all it is camping. read more

This place is more worried about cramming as many people as possible in the campground than giving you a good experience. Long term campers have taken most of the park over. We were next to a long term permanent camper, weeds we're growing around camper and sewer hose was going uphill making a very pleasant experience every time they flushed. They ha d two dogs in camper while they were at work that barked every time my grandkids or anybody else in the area made noise. We had to pay an extra 15 dollars to hold our site after booking so our families could keep side by side camp spots. Also added electric after the 6th day, so another unknown expense. The only bright spot is the pool , but after noon on Friday it is overtaken by the permanent sites owners and the kids are ran out or feel like they can't have fun while in it. started out with a 15$camp site lock In fee, which I've never heard of, usually when i make reservations at campground whe I select a site i don't expect to be moved, kinda defeats the purpose of selecting a campsite, paying the deposit on a site, (i expect to get site I selected an not be moved!.. moving on.. booked a 7 night stay,(wasnt told anything about having to pay extra for staying longer). we get here an find out that we have to pay for electricity past 6 night stays. umm WTF! paid over 400$ for what? water,sewer, and site? but if we'd only stayed 6 nights electric is included! what kind of shady BS is that! called 3 other campgrounds around the lake. non of them charge for electricity when you stay longer than 6 nights until you get into staying for months . one would like to think campgrounds would want you to stay longer but not this one, had manager call and he even confirmed when i said, note to self dont stay longer than 6 nights. well sir.. we have been coming down here for several years now and my family and I won't be coming back here ever!... Beautiful place, nicely shaded on each campsite. The camp hosts are friendly and treat us like family. Took my 2 boys on a golf cart ride once or twice a day. The pool is relaxing and the bathrooms and shower houses are well kept and clean. Perfect location right next to the river and my boys fished in the pond. Activities for the kids all the time! We will be back! We do a lot of camping and this is one of our favorites! read more

Today we moved out after 8 wonderful years. The current Bigot Manager Alan is quite the ass and makes the place more miserable for guests than relaxing. He conveniently waits until I'm not around to yell and bully my wife, then denies doing anything wrong and yells at her more for her reaction that he caused. All over not paying for a friend's visit which Alan just told us the week before was not needed if it's just for a couple hour visit. He's not a good person at all and one of those people who LOVES his power and flexing. Strictly enforced ridiculous rules that no other campground has. And extra charges for everything from a friend over to having a hose hooked up to your campsite spigot. This is definitely not a resort with its weed covered unlevel gravel sites, broke down splintered picnic tables, homeless living in converted cargo trailers by the office/pool. And the only pool at the lake that you cannot have drinks inside the fenced area. Definitely the least used pool on Memorial Day at the Lake. Find anywhere else if you want a vacation or getaway. Walmart parking lot would be better. The parent company only cares about the dollar and not people. Dacia won't even reply to our calls or email but we had a friend get through on our behalf and their response to this womanizing bully Alan was, "for everyone that leaves there is someone to come in and take their spot". And they are not a nursing home or want seasonal. So let's add discrimination to old people to the list of negatives about this place. What a way to run a business. Just look at the reviews over the last couple months. Previous owners had 5 stars on every site. Now look at the stars falling from the sky. I wish there was a zero star option. read more

Came to this campground due to location. Will come back again due to customer service. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. People very friendly and attentive. Stayed in an awesome site and renewed every two days because originally thought we would just pass through the area. Swimming pool is great. Washrooms extremely clean. Grounds well maintained staff eager to help and ensure you have a good experience. Asked staff about restaurants in area and was directed to best fish fry ever (Bonnies) great experience. Had to pay cash or pay an extra fee for using credit card. When they say "WiFi available" they mean within 50 ft of the main office. Appearance was a bit run down. With high water levels, couldn't utilize the dock. And finally, the fishing pond was mucky, very mucky. read more

We camped in a motor home. Only two spots really pull thru unlike advertisement! View of river nice however a lot of brush growing up hindering view. Cable for tv basically a waste. It never worked! Watch out! To get military discount you have to pay cash. Nice location. Just needs updating. read more

We wanted to like this place. The trip started off well. We arrived late and they had our check-in info waiting for us. The site was pretty good, up against the river. The septic was kind of stupid, because it was slightly up hill compared to where our camper sat. Cable tv and good water pressure, although the water had a yuck smell to it the entire weekend. On Saturday we got up and headed to the pool. My kids love to swim and the great reviews about the nice pool was what helped us pick this place. Well after about 35 min the boys started complaining their private parts and the area around it hurt. My oldest looked like he was about in tears. We returned to the camper and they both had burn looking irritated skin. I quickly had everyone shower. From that point the weekend was ruined, the boys could hardly walk so no hiking, no biking, no swimming in the pool or the lake, it was a major disappointment. We saw a sign on the pool the next day that said closed swim at your own risk. I asked some other campers and they said several kids had problems and the water in the pool has ph balance problems. This place should have done something about this, it was a holiday weekend, how do you let something like that happen. Beware!! read more

Campers beware. Owners took unfair advantage of an opportunity. We called at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon to make a reservation. Were informed that they closed at 5:00. At time of reservation, we were asked if it would be one night or two and that a $30 non refundable deposit was necessary. Of course our credit card info was provided. When we arrived a little after 5:00, we were not at all happy with our site and decided not to stay. A note was left stating the fact. First thing Sunday morning an alert came from my bank showing additional charges from Riverview. I immediately called to inquire. The owners informed me that they were charging for both Saturday and Sunday. I agreed that charges for Saturday were fair but that doing so for Sunday was not. Their claim was that they have a two night weekend stay policy which was never mentioned nor stated on their site. Repeat emails by me have been denied They have taken an unfair liberty and my money. read more

Stayed here recently and really liked it. The sites are level and easy to maneuver. The river is RIGHT there, but some brush blocks the view. Check in was easy and they made themselves available for issues after office hours. Pool was very nice, not huge, but new and well maintained. Will go back. read more

BEWARE! This is the first RV resort we have ever been to where, canceling our reservation 3 days prior to arrival, they keep you entire deposit. Not very cordial nor fair of them. Can any of we senior campers afford to throw money away? NO!!!! GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!!!! read more
