I was a happy member at HotWorx for over a year until I needed to cancel due to lack of childcare…read more I called to cancel and they said that I would need to come in to sign the cancellation form, no big deal. I asked them to freeze my account, a $9 monthly charge, since I didn't think I would be able to come in before the month ended. When I went in to cancel they informed me that I had to give two fully paid months notice. I said that I wish that someone would have told me that when I called before freezing the account and me paying the $9 for essentially nothing. This is when the owner decided to speak up and say well we wanted to get you to come in before we told you that, also it is in the contract you signed when you first signed up. I told them I thought that this was a shady way to do business and I did not appreciate it. I also want to mention that six months prior I had noticed double charges on my bank account from them, $60 times two, when I investigated further I saw that it had actually been happening for 2-3 months without me catching it. When I called and asked them about it they discovered they had used my payment information for a new member with the same first name as mine. I thought it was a pretty messy thing for them to do on their part but they reimbursed my money and I gave them the benefit because people make mistakes, although I thought this was a pretty big one. I say all this to say, HotWorx is a great place to work out but they will squeeze every penny they can out of you and not bat an eye. I strongly suggest you consider this and the way the owner dismissed me twice before signing any agreement with them.

The Diabetes Prevention Program helped me lose weight and learn the importance of exercise and nutrition; and I can still reach out when I have a question. My personal trainer worked with me and took the time to find out what goals I want to achieve and designed a workout program specifically for me and she's there for me when I have a question or just need a push.
