We only worked out twice, but both times we felt targeted by her scrutiny. She reprimanded me for the two of us not cleaning our machines, but we had every intention of doing so when we finished our little circuit. No one else was using or waiting to use those machines. During our first visit we watched a younger person use a machine and walk away without cleaning, but nothing was said to her. My husband paid in advance for a year, but after the two visits he said he wouldn't go back because of how we were treated. That's a pretty big financial loss that Anytime Fitness will not refund.

It's unfortunate that I was swindled out of my buck, especially by someone who didn't care about my job situation.

Most gyms I've been a member at (mostly military) , for civilians come with a lot more. Those smaller gyms I've joined have a least a military discount. My experience here at Sage was pleasantly refreshing. I attended a smaller class (about 8 people,…read more35yr +) on a Sunday morning with a new'ish class theme -yoga for the soul. The people/community was just that- soulful & caring, practicing more traditionally, focusing on the spirit of yoga vs just asana flows. We held asanas (poses) longer than the traditional "American exercise yoga" most people think of yoga. Shane instructed and shared a lot in class personally and held space for the community to share as well, if they wished. What people shared was honest, real & refreshing. He reiterated a theme of finding common ground with people of all walks of life...not what I was expecting in Spfld, MO on a Sunday morning. Quite refreshing. Quite yoga at its finest: union! Thank you Shane & Kelly (kind man next to me) for sharing time, space, energy & a loving supportive spirit. Note: I have been practicing yoga for 7ish years and have done several certifications (200hr, stand up paddle & pre/post natal) and taught in SF (very briefly) & Costa Rica.
