They have teen nights, teen groups, young adult groups just about any group you could think of. The Christmas services here are just amazing and joyful. They always give me a spiritual connection. It can get very, very busy at Christmas time and at their Christmas services. They have food box days every other Thursday I believe I don't really know the whole deal with that. You have to check online on their website. They do lots of outreach trips as well. They have rented out of space in their lobby for a shaved ice company as well so even if you want to just come in and check out the shaved ice company I think that's cool. You don't have to be spiritual, religious , or a member of the church to buy shaved ice. I'd recommend checking this place out.

What was once a meaningful, grounded community now feels overly focus on image and presentation. Tom's sermons feel more like motivation talks than spiritual guidance. He talks a lot about himself and all his athletic achievements, often in ways that feel self-promoting rather than uplifting. At times, it's really hard to relate to him. One moment that really stood out was when he shared a story about his son's PS5 getting scammed, only to have multiple people offer up their brand-new PS5 console. While that may come from a place of generosity, it felt tone-deaf considering not everyone has access to that kind of support system. He's also made an offhand comment implying that food allergies are caused by being "coddled" as a child... something that couldn't be further from the truth and felt insensitive. His loud, youth-style clothing he wears on stage sometimes feels like we're watching someone work through a mid-life crisis rather than leading a congregation. I was recently asked to recommend a church, and for many years my answer would've been EHills. But not anymore. The atmosphere feels more snobby and stuck up the community I once cherished has lost its heart. I truly miss Pastor Shawn and his genuine, humble approach he brought. I miss Pastor Phil and his uplifting Bible sermons. Watching this shift has been disheartening.

Attempts to address potential misconduct or lack of transparency are met with suppression, fueling my determination to expose any injustices. Recent events underscore the need for transparency, especially within influential institutions. Red flags emerged with new leadership, but attempts to address them were dismissed. Similar patterns occurred at the leader's previous church in Moscow, Idaho, where NDAs silenced victims. Now he claims ignorance about his behavior, but that does not seem congruent with his past behavior and dismissal from prior church. This seems to be a pattern he most definitely is aware of. An executive pastor, upon confronting the leader about his behavior, was coerced into signing an NDA or face termination. Transparency was further compromised when information was blacked out during a congregation address, claiming ignorance of inappropriate behavior. It's our duty to hold institutions and leaders accountable. Using Matthew 18 as a shield is unacceptable, given the pattern of NDAs to conceal misconduct. Claims of firing for cause raise questions about addressing other misconduct transparently. Biblical standards for pastors emphasize qualities like self-control and accountability, urging transparency in cases of misconduct. I've witnessed dedicated individuals ousted under new leadership, replaced by the pastor's acquaintances, despite their integrity and commitment. It's time to address these issues openly and honestly, ensuring the well-being of our community. Ignoring misconduct and silencing victims contradicts Christian values and undermines trust. During that time, I went through a deeply painful period in my life--my ex-husband was cheating on me, but continually gaslit me, telling me I was crazy and needed medication. We went to counseling with Russ, who sided with him. Russ insisted my ex probably wasn't cheating and that I should seek therapy and get on meds. Eventually, the truth came out--he was cheating--and the church offered zero support. No accountability, no care, nothing. My mom, Debra Finnegan, also worked for the church for a while. In 2022, she lost both of her parents--and again, no flowers, no cards, no calls. No acknowledgment at all. And this week--on Thursday morning--my 28-year-old sister passed away unexpectedly. I reached out to Scotty, Russ, and Cory. Scotty read my message and didn't respond. My mom emailed Travis, who replied saying someone would reach out. It's now been nearly a week, and still no response from anyone. We lost a sister, a mom, and a daughter. I'm deeply hurt, disappointed, and disgusted by the coldness and indifference shown by this church. It's clear that care, compassion, and support are not values they live out--not unless you're a favorite or fit their mold.

I tried their young adult ministry and although there were people who were welcoming and introduced me to others, I felt that young adults could've been more welcoming and it felt kind of cliquey. And when I tried to go up to some people to talk to them, they felt weird and I took it personally. I understand that people aren't going to be best friends with everyone, especially with it being a large group and that sometimes you don't get to see your friends all of the time and want to catch up, but there should be an awareness and openness with making sure people feel welcomed and getting new people connected. I also think it's better to have a separate ministry for college and post college because it's a different stage of life and maturity level. Join us in-person or online!" -- Pastor Shawn Johnson has totally touched my heart for years. I was very lucky to finally find my church group to call home. I love Red Rocks Church! They have multiple locations: ARVADA, LAKEWOOD, LITTLETON, PARK MEADOWS and LONE TREE!!! I've been regularly attending Wednesday night bible study, which is truly remarkable and life changing. I've met some incredibly wonderful friends here and felt right at home. The gospel music during sermon has been very appealing to not only myself, but my younger sister and Nick. The team of Red Rocks Church are very approachable, kind good people!! There is complimentary coffee and sometimes snacks or pizza. The sermon is filled with lots of grace and music, live performances and catchy songs. They have groups, support, recovery, bible study, internships, classes, for all kids, teens and adults. This church is non-denominational, but also very welcoming. I really enjoy the wholesome connections found here. I also want to personally thank Maddy Vachris; she's been an amazing church group leader! I really enjoy the connections made here with her.
