Unfortunately this isn't a 5 star review because the service I received was lackluster at best…read more After scratching the floors they just installed, the crew came back on Monday to reinstall the plank they damaged during the previous Friday's install. Having purchased the vinyl plank myself from a big box store, they fixed their issue at my cost as it required them to use 5 more boxes of planks to complete the job to my satisfaction and if I hadn't bought significant amount extra they wouldn't have been able to fix the job at all. Additionally, setting aside the quality of the work, the attention to detail by the Project manager was lacking - he was more interested in leaving on Friday evening than seeing the job (including moving the pieces of furniture back into the home from the backyard) through to completion. He again left on Monday evening for a second time without evening checking the work his team was completing. I had to also initiate the contact on late Monday morning because he never followed up regarding the time that they would be able to come out to repair the issues described above. Lastly, after giving me an initial quote and helping to schedule the install the owner was nowhere to be found through all the issue described above. I would not choose this company again, as a small company like this should pride itself on the quality of work and attention to detail - neither of which was present in this engagement. Update: The owner did reach out to provide a refund to cover the cost of the additional plank used in repairs. Updating to reflect the attempt to make things right.

Joe and Rob came out for an inspection and provided the greatest, most incredible detailed report to include photos and descriptive backing. He identified many concerns that need to be addressed and we went to our home walk fully prepared and confident to point out everything that was not up to code or standard. Joe and Rob spent much time with us on the phone before and after our walk and guided us on how to best address concerns . They are phenomenal , competent , professional, kind pit bulls who care about the needs and well being of new homebuyers. I recommend every homebuyer to hire JWK inspections !!! Mike Robare, the owner had been a customer of ours when we had our business. Our interactions with Mike had always been good and friendly. When we met with Mike at his office we left feeling we wanted to work with him on the total project of tear down to rebuild. Mike was personable, knowledgeable and communicative. We met with Mike and his recommended architects and put non-refundable deposits down with both. We had plenty of time as we were not going to start until 1st quarter 2026. Within a couple of months we found out we had a family issue that was going to require us to move out of town. This meant we had to cancel our work with Mike. When we called his office we left a message with his secretary letting him know we were disappointed. Since then we have not heard back from Mike, even after several follow-up call/texts on our part. The architects were kind enough to refund a portion of our deposit due to the circumstances. As of this review, we have not heard from Mike.
