We felt as though there was not a spot in the house that he could have missed. We are having our home built in Boerne and were looking for a good quality inspector that knew what they were talking about. We met Joe yesterday, he was already there inspecting the property before the scheduled time to meet which I liked. He walked us around the house pointing out everything he saw that needed to be fixed and some he recommended talking to the builder about adding in. He was very patient in explaining everything we didn't understand and he even spoke with our builder to make inquiries on our behalf which I though was nice since the builder wouldn't be able to give Joe a BS answer. We hired Joe to handle the inspection of our new house when we were coming up on our one year warranty. Several of our neighbors had recommended him to us. Working with him was a pleasure. We have hired many inspectors over the years and Joe was the first one that I would recommend and use again. JWK Inspections provided nothing but exceptional, professional service from start to finish. From the first time I called Joe, to the time Dan submitted his findings, I was extremely impressed by timely responses to my questions and especially Dan's expert knowledge throughout his inspection of a prospective property for purchase. JWK Inspections also had options for advanced inspecting techniques including thermal imaging for a look inside walls for pest damage or rotting, and a foundation survey measuring kit which detected even seven-tenths of an inch difference from one corner of the foundation to the other. Dan's submitted inspection report provided pages worth of precise attention to detail and professional analysis of the air handling unit and roofing. Dan also explained his findings during the inspection as we went along in a way that was easy enough for me to understand potential problems. The report also contained highly detailed images of findings including the aforementioned thermal imaging. Dan was already diligently at work when I got there on time which meant he was willing to provided time before the official start of the inspection. Although JWK's rates are comparably higher, it was reassuring to know that I got my money's worth, and it's great to know that PayPal was a payment option for ease. Keep in mind that all inspectors have tight schedules with small windows for option periods, so be sure to book as soon as possible. JWK was recommended to me by a neighbor who just had a house built in the development I was moving into. I used JWK for a framing inspection and a move in inspection on a new construction. I was very satisfied with their construction knowledge, thoroughness, and how they explained things to me in layman's terms. Their written report was detailed and easy to follow. They worked well with the builder - pointing out things in a completely professional (non-antagonistic) manner, which (in my opinion) led to more cooperation by the builder to address the issues found. When I first contacted them they said they would be a consultant to me if i needed them. In between the framing and the final review I found a problem on something finished after the framing and called JWK. They told me to take pictures and send to them. They called me back and reviewed the options with me and told me exactly what to tell the builder to satisfactorily address it. read more

My house was inspected by this company over the weekend and I just discovered that several circuit breakers were left off including the smoke detectors. Huge no-no especially with the storms that rolled though this weekend. I also had to fork out $150 to have the hot water pressure relief valve replaced and whatever the cost of 3 days of water draining out of it will cost. Very sloppy work. read more
