Unfortunately, although most Thornton's offer freshly brewed iced tea, this location does not. I have asked about this, both at the store and by email to Thornton's corporate, but haven't gotten a satisfactory answer. To make matters even worse, this location serves the abominable Gold Peak post-mix swill, which is worse than serving nothing, in my opinion. Although this is the closest Thornton's to where I live, the lack of iced tea usually keeps me away. I'm docking a star for this. --END OF RANT-- Beverages are cheap at Thornton's: 89 cents for any size fountain drink or iced tea, or 59 cents for any size refill. Coffee is 99 cents, and it's not bad. There are a variety of things you can add to your coffee if you like it flavored. There is usually quite a variety of fresh donuts at Thornton's to complement your coffee. The food could be better at Thornton's: the hot food is mostly limited to roller-grill hotdogs. On the plus side, most Thornton's offer a variety of fresh fruit, providing an option for healthy snacking. Restrooms at Thornton's are nearly always spotlessly clean. In the men's room (I haven't been to the ladies room), there is always a condom vending machine. In my opinion, this is a good thing as it allows men to do the responsible thing without risking embarrassment.

Prices are always better here than any place else. I've been to other Costcos with larger spaces for gas filling stations and this is one of the smallest. There's no chance for them to expand this with Norton taking over the whole area. I used to work for Norton and I'm glad they're making themselves more accessible to people in the East end. Still, this side of town is going to be busier now and I'm sure the lines at Costco gas will get longer along with it.
