I took my 4yr old Goldendoodle with her 3yr old Goldendoodle sister to try out the new Good Dog Daycare and we were not pleased with the service we received. They said my dog was barking too much while playing and policing the yard. Then said my 3yr old Goldendoodle barely passed the evaluation because she was too timid. On top of all of this I had to pay 130$ for a fecal sample which would have been fine if my dog was able to go to daycare but now she is not aloud back unless it's for "TLC (single one-on-one time)". I am very frustrated and want to know how they are evaluated but will not be back to this facility. read more

*slides soapbox over* *stands on soapbox* Any dog trainer is going to disparage a doggie daycare. I have trained dogs, as in Schutzen trained dogs. I can assure you that any trainer, anywhere is going to tell you not to go to a doggie daycare. It's not going to matter if it is Crossroads or "best daycare ever". The argument is that a trained dog should be on command 100% time it is out of its crate. We, of course, as Americans humanize our dogs and just aren't willing to do that. *etches soapbox a bit higher* All doggie daycares have "parasites" or the possibility therein. So do all dog parks because we, as humans, don't do enough to educate ourselves about our animals. Giardia is technically a parasite. It's also super common and causes diarrhea. Most people are just like "oh well... Bowser has diarrhea" and do nothing about it... and take their dog to daycare/the dog park that way. Giardia is super contagious in dogs. So thank other humans, don't blame the daycare/dog park. *slides soapbox back to its corner* I'm sorry for the person who had bad grooming experience. But, the rest of the review is nonsense (see soapbox commentary). They clearly mark dogs with known contagions and do not allow those dogs outside of the dog's own personal kennel run and separate the dogs by distance from other dogs (I saw the signs on my tour...) Personally, I don't understand the whole grooming thing but, hey, I own German Shorthaired Pointers specifically because I didn't want to even think about grooming. Although, I'd point out that dogs existed just fine as companions without grooming for centuries. The staff at Crossroads is courteous, nice, and knowledgeable (well, the Vets and Vet techs are). They are willing to give you a tour of the entire facility including boarding runs and the daycare area - that's actually more unusual than one would think and I have boarded my GSPs at a lot of places. They do half-day rates (awesome and a first I've seen), they do a second (or more) dog discount, and their prices are more on par with what I have seen in other cities (and equivalent to A Bark Above in East Nashville which I love but it's totally inconvenient for me from a distance perspective). The records are computerized, which is done so they can remind you about vaccinations. And, there is an onsite veterinarian because it's a veterinary hospital as well as doggie daycare/boarding facility. My dislikes: It's off the ever-dreaded Mallory Lane in Cool Springs. Traffic = nightmare on that road. I pray that one day I figure out some backroads to weave my way in and out of there without ever seeing Mallory Lane... oh, plague on humanity... read more

Our puppy Nala gets so excited to go to the vet everytime we go in and we've been in a lot since she's almost 4 months old now Kristen Caslowe is the sweetest,kindest and most knowledgeable vet in town! I have been coming here for years. The people I deal with at the counter are nice and they all know my dog but I am REALLY concerned. The past three times he boarded he has come home sick with "bathroom issues". He eats his own food while there so I can only think it must be the water or something. He is also filthy. I just don't have a lot of confidence regarding what goes on 'in the back'. Of course, I must admit I have nothing to compare them to. I may find out they are the best around and this is just what I get when I board my dog. I'll add that I didn't get the reaction I'd have appreciated when I suggested that since they made him sick they should examine/treat him at their cost. read more

First time boarding my dog at this place. Dropped her off on a Friday morning and everyone there was friendly. The following Tuesday, I called to check on her and they advised that she was doing fine. I picked her up the next day and when they brought her out, I immediately saw that she had lost a lot of weight and her eyes looked really sunken. She barely responded to me. When they returned the food I had brought, there was hardly any gone....this is a 70 lb dog! We got home and realized that she was extremely dehydrated. Even her hind legs were not functioning like they should...she barely had the strength to get up on the sofa. It took a couple days to get fluids in her and get her eating and finally she returned to normal. Cross Roads should have recognized that she was badly dehydrated and given her an IV. If she was not eating, why didn't they let me know? I was very mad about the condition of my dog when I got her, now that I have gotten over it, I wanted to post this review so that others won't have to go through what I did. read more

So far, so good! We started taking our two large dogs here this week after becoming frustrated with My Second Home. I noticed an ad for Crossroads in the paper and decided to give them a call to find out more. I was overwhelmed with the customer service and knowledge of the gentleman on the phone. He was patient, answered all my questions about both daycare and boarding, second dog discount (yes!!!!), and 1/2 day daycare options (another bonus!). When my husband and I dropped them off the first day the workers took us on a tour which was very reassuring. The dogs have room to roam in runs when they aren't in "interactive daycare" from 9-12 and 1-4. The space outside is big enough, although it could be bigger. Then again, I have large dogs that like to run. They were cleaining while we were there which is good to see. While we haven't taken advantage of the 1/2 day of daycare - which is 1/2 price - I cannot wait to do it. And I love that they have a second dog discount; it makes such a difference! Both of my dogs come home happy and tired, which I consider a success! read more

I've been a loyal customer here for 18 years with two different dogs...I had previously sent friends and family members here, as well, confident in the loving and thorough care that Crossroads provided. Lately, i've been dissatisfied with the service; items returned to me in less than ideal condition, medical issues overlooked by the new "temporary" vet staff, the lack of grooming services since Melissa's departure...but, still, I stayed because I felt a sense of loyalty to Crossroads after all they had done for my dogs. Yesterday was the final day my dog will ever go there. He came home with a serious eye infection that could have resulted in the permanent loss of his eye. In addition, he had chewed through two spots on his skin which the e-collar I left him was designed to prevent...of course, the e-collar had been returned to me not on my dog. No one mentioned this in either of my check-in phone calls nor was anything said when I picked him up after his kennel stay. I can only guess the staff didn't notice blood coming from multiple places on his skin. Or they just didn't care. I called to discuss this with the manager and found that she had no sympathy for my animal's condition. "He received good care here" was all she said. Clearly not as I have a $250 vet bill and more bills to come to get him well again after his ordeal. She advised me to take my business elsewhere. Obviously, customer retention is as low a priority here as caring for the animals. I would advise, if you have concern for the health of your pet, not to trust this business. Things have changed at Crossroads and they seem to not worry about it at all. An apology, a word of concern would have done a lot to turn things around...but, instead, they took 18 years of profitable business and asked me to find another provider. Don't worry...we wouldn't trust Crossroads were it the last available option for my dog's care. read more

We are relocating to Nashville from a city with lots of daycare options, so maybe our standards are higher than normal. I'm frustrated to find that most daycare facilities in Nashville don't separate small vs large dogs. It just seems ridiculous to put a 80 pound golden in with an 8lb dog With that said, we were in a bind since we were in town searching for a place to live and had our dog along for the ride. We needed to drop him off somewhere to get some exercise before the long car-ride home! Crossroads was very accommodating and made drop off easy (no scheduled temperament test like many other daycares I called in the area) and only charged us for a half day since we weren't there the full day. My dog is used to being in daycare but just didn't seem to thrive (according to the staff) here. I have to think this is because of the large dogs in the mix. Overall , a decent daycare but probably not for smaller dogs. Please reconsider making a separate area for dogs under 30 llbs! read more

This is Dino's favorite place to go for boarding! Everyone is very welcoming and excited to see him and when we pick him up, we can tell he is tired but happy. We also love seeing pictures of him playing! Just FYI - make sure you specify (if boarding and adding play time) if you're doing a half or full day of play; those fees definitely add up. read more

Our first time visit with Daphne. Daphne had to be sedated to examine because she is very anxious, and has an unknown background as a rescue. They were professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything well and the whole staff is awesome. The facility is immaculate, and we are very happy we found Crossroads. Highly recommend! read more

The staff at Crossroads is amazing. I felt comfortable bringing my dog, Tahoe there from the very beginning. The groomers and the vet services were fantastic, and at a very reasonable price. When it was time to say goodbye to Tahoe, they were very honest about it, regardless of the fact that they could have played on our fears and performed an unnecessary surgery. The Doctor and her staff were so kind and compassionate, and I felt that they had felt a loss from Tahoe's death as well. I would refer anyone and everyone to them. They are the best! read more

Crossroads is a wonderful place to take your small animals to from Kennels, vet hospital and grooming services. I have an elderly dog that I have to kennel for work purposes. My dog loves going there! He loves the TLC and daycare. And I love that I can call when travel sometimes is short notice and the staff is always willing to help! I would encourage you to look elsewhere for your pets needs. While boarding, the receptionist left a message with a friend (instead of contacting me directly) to say my dog had diarrhea. She wanted to know if I wanted it to be treated. I immediately called, and asked if I could speak with someone about my dogs health. The receptionist said to me "no, we just need to know if you want us to treat it". When I pressed her to allow me to speak with someone about my dog, she copped an attitude, very crudely said hold on, and put me on hold before I could even say thank you. Next person on the line had the same attitude, and when I asked about my dogs well-being, she said "look, we just need to know if you want us to treat the diarrhea". I asked her if they were sure it was my dog, and she said "no, we're not positive, but we think so, and want to know if you want us to treat her". I asked for the veterinarian to call me, which she did in good time. When I asked her to tell me more about how my dog was doing, she started lecturing me on what can cause diarrhea in a dog. I asked her if my dog was feeling fine otherwise, and she said yes. When I asked her if she knew that first hand, she said no, I'm just assuming that she is... I can do an examination on her if you'd like. I discussed with her how I'd like this all to be handled, to which she acquiesced. I asked for someone to call me the next day with an update on my dogs health, and the veterinarian assured me that someone would do that. This never happened. When I called in myself to get an update on my dog, I was instructed to call the owner of the boarding facility if I had any questions. read more

Have been taking my pups to Dr. T for about a year. Have spent a lot of money for care for my one pup with skin conditions and eye issues. Even donated the medication that my pup couldn't use back tot he clinic and this is the cost of routine vaccines? $425.79!!! Are you kidding me?? Minus $38 for the gland expression and nail trim of one dog. My dogs will NOT be back to Crossroads. And that's unfortunate since I love Dr. T and think she's a great vet. After a pretty thorough search of local facilities, when we found Crossroads it was almost immediately clear that we had found the right place! Once our new puppy Derby adjusted to her new surroundings - she's a very sweet, but timid dog - we saw a new side of her begin to come out. She's always excited to "go see her friends" in the morning, and always super chipper when we pick her up; although getting her to leave sometimes is a challenge, because she wants to stay longer. Having your pet be super happy is a big bonus, but the facility is excellent too! They have great rates / packages, a very clean and open environment, wonderful grooming and medical services, and we cannot say enough about the staff!!! They are always upbeat, professional, kind / sweet, and we regularly find ourselves standing around in conversation, as they could not be any more friendly!! I suggest never bringing your animals here. Was quoted a price and chose a plan for my dogs to play outside 1-4 everyday with the other dogs. Come to find out, they kept our two dogs locked up for two days but continued to charge me for the play time they never received. Because of being locked up for 72 hours, one of my dogs chewed part of a blanket. Instead of calling me and asking permission to get shots, x-rays and medicine, they did it anyway and charged me 250$. Overall so dissatisfied with the lack of communication with their employees and their incompetence. Left vacation early to get my dogs out of this place! read more

We transferred our dog, Baxter to Crossroads after he was diagnosed with diabetes because we felt that the other vet was overwhelmed. Plus we had to change where he was boarding due to the insulin shots and it was the best thing we ever did! Right after we transferred, he became very ill due to frequent kidney infections and Dr Anderson immediately discovered that the culprit was a kidney stone. They saved his life. He has been going there for over two years now and even with the diabetes, they have kept him healthy and happy. The staff is always friendly, helpful and kind. They all really seem to LOVE Baxter. For the first time in his entire life (and he is almost 10) he loves to board there. He also has the best time in daycare and even gets excited when we walk through the door. They always make me feel like he is their favorite dog, which I'm sure he is. read more

We have been with Crossroads Pet Professionals for years - they have always taken great care of our pets during boardings - annual visits - emergency moments. They have always been very willing and accomodating with any situation. Recently one of our cats was in need of immediate attention - they got us right in and our sweet Hazel was fixed right up and back to normal in no time at all. This is where we always board our dogs if we go out of town - they get love and attention - I get texts updates and sometimes even pics while we are away.
