I did feel like he cut the show just a little short. There's always that one drunk person that wants to yell out from the crowd. I think it was starting to irritating. What can you say about the orpheum? That hasn't already been said. It's a very nice historical place. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Is because like everyone else, they take advantage of people on concessions. I realized back in the day. This is the way places made their money. It's a little different these days. They make plenty of money on the shows. My other small complaint is the seating. Although its way better than Minglewood Hall, the seats are just too close together. I'm a big fella, and it's just very uncomfortable. Overall, they put on great shows and the place is very nice. I definitely wouldn't let the small things stop you from going.

I visited Theater Works on an extremely wet Saturday night, when it was raining down buckets and…read moresubsequently for a magical 2+ hours, the play I saw there wafted me away to a Stately Home in the British countryside and then during the 2nd Act to a basement apartment in Earl's Court, London! The play absolutely lived up to one of the lines spoken by a character in the play that I saw: "Fiction fills in the void when facts are not enough!" The theater's location is great and there's a parking garage right across the street, so parking is a total breeze. However the sidewalk is really beat up and broken, so if wearing heels or slippers, just be careful when walking across. We had "Will Call" tickets for a production of "Lettice & Lovage" but our name wasn't on the list, but luckily I could show the confirmation email to the ticket-office (which was basically a gentleman sitting behind a desk). I thought the production values of the show I saw were brilliant and really also enjoyed the intimate setting of the theater - only 5 rows and so every seat is a good one! Speaking of seats, this show was general admission, so would recommend getting to the theater around 15mins early if you want middle row/ central spot. Price was also fairly reasonable ($20) and all of us had an enjoyable time, plus learnt how marmalade got its name (google if you want to know more- it's a neat story and hint - if you speak French, there's a clue in the second part of the word!) They have some wine and drinks you can buy at intermission, but I am not a fan of the "Barefoot" brand, so didn't get any - also its just your basic Cab Sav Red/ and Semillon white, so if you want Shiraz or a Riesling, they don't have that available. Oh also - coupons for places to eat in the playbill, so have a flick thru that. There are some upcoming plays coming up that sound good - so will definitely be returning back to this Theater. I didn't even know this theater existed and just happened to stumble across a playbill posting in Starbucks. My family was asking for birthday gift ideas so I sent them a picture of the playbill, since I enjoy live theater AND Shakespeare! EVERYONE needs to catch this before they close it out! The talent in TNMTC is boundless. Acting. Singing. Musicianship. They do it all. It was a non-stop laugh fest. Thanks y'all for putting on such a great show and thanks to my wife and two girls for such a great gift!

The theater itself…read moreis not quite as nice as Playhouse on the Square but it's still a pretty good deal to take in a show because any seat in the house is a good seat. We recently went there to watch Reefer Madness, which was funny and entertaining at times but I personally wasn't awestruck by this play and I don't think the audience was really impressed either because of the lack luster applause the actors and actresses received at the end of the play. I'd highly recommend the Circuit Playhouse.

I didn't want to give this place 2 stars but they need to do better with their customer service…read more We purchased 3 tickets but one of our guests was unable to come. The website says you can exchange tickets for $5 for a later show. The attendant had no idea what we were talking about and told us "Nobody told you that you can exchange tickets." We showed them that it in fact does say so on the website. Attendant called over a manager and they briefly spoke. Then we were told that we were correct but all the future shows were sold out and we could only exchange for the same play on a future date. That makes sense but you can still buy tickets for the show so they are not sold out. It doesn't bother me that we could not get a refund or exchange but update your website and train your employees. Everything else was great. There is a parking garage in the back that charges $5. Plenty of parking and lights so the place is safe. The show had food and drinks before the play, during the intermission, and a toast after the play. The play was a blast. I want to return.

The play was about the holiday, of course, but also how Christmas is celebrated in several different Latin American countries. The Evergreen Theater is located on Poplar, across from India Palace restaurant. The theater is small, but clean and cozy. side note: restrooms passed, very clean The musical was awesome! It was very lively, and everyone seemed to have fun. The musical was mainly in Spanish, but it fit really well, and there were parts and explanations in English here and there. I liked that both languages were intertwined and it made no one feel alienated. Even if you didn't know the words, the actors did well and you could put two and two together with a lot of the stories. My Spanish luckily isn't that far out of tune, so I understood more of it than I thought I would. I thought the origin stories for the piñata and poinsettia were neat. The piñata was originally a symbol of destroying your sins, with the seven points representing the seven deadly sins, and the poinsettia referring to a lesson that any gift given with love will always be acceptable to Him. I'll give this one a rating: Christmas in many lights. Holidays are all about traditions and coming together. It's always important to embrace both our similarities and differences, but also to let someone else's stories have their time in the light. Definitely recommend this one

I believe there are also many different areas available for rent and use as well, so if you're needing event space, this might be a great place to grab as well!

Holy moly! That view!…read more I attended the Special Olympics dinner here a year or two ago and was completely blown away by the view (especially at night...all those pretty lights!)...and yesterday (during the day) was no different (GORGEOUS!). I've heard rumors for awhile now that they a happy hour and it has been on my short list of things I want to try it. Well, yesterday I had a meeting in the bar area at 4 and decided to ring up a few friends after it was over to fully experience their happy hour. And honey, I'm so glad I did. Their house by the glass is only $4 and well liquor is $3. Tower Center, I think we're going to get along just fine (especially since my office is literally next door). But what really impressed me (besides that view), was the food! I am super picky about my cheese plates and not only was it pretty to look at, but it was yummy to eat (kinda important). And the chicken wings? Yes, please! They were so cute and tiny and delicious! I've actually never seen pretty chicken wings but somehow they managed to do it (no seriously, check out my photo). I also stole some bites of my dining partner's french fries and they were indeed just like I like 'em. And the pizza? Phenomenal! You've got to check out my food porn pics! They also rent out the venue space so take a peek around!
