It was cold while we were waiting for their completing the water testing outside of hot tub because we had to wet our hair and swim suit prior according to the requirement. We missed our tee time but we joined a nice couple and played with them. Great way to practice and get a short game in. It's okay, not too challenging and kind of basic with not too many hazards and wasn't super interesting. I think that's the purpose just to get a quick practice. There are a couple of bigger courses here that my partner has played on and he said it was great. He would give the club 5 stars based on the bigger courses and facilities, but I'll give it 4 since I've only tried the academy course and it was just okay. The facilities are nice. For members, you can use the driving range and push carts for "free" well included in your membership rate. There's a locker room where you can take a shower, use their towels and get a stretch on and chill before your game. They also have a nice bistro with a lovely covered deck and live music on most Saturdays. Definitely wouldn't mind dining here if I'm in the area next time. I believe the bistro is for members only, but it looks like there is a non-member rate too.

We went there to look at the autumn colours and it was so beautiful. We walked the Buffalo Crag trail, which was a 3KM trail, and the Vista Adventure trail, which was a 1.5KM trail. Both were very peaceful. We'll be going again!

Recetly had the pleasure of visiting Carlisle on an Under Par Certifiacte. I was greeted by Ned in…read morethe proshop sitting in for whoever was away that day. Ned told me he was normally a starter. We started on the North Course and palyed as a twosome. Course was in excellent condition and was only slightly damp for our 9:00 am tee time. Greens are beautiful and receptive. Played the South for our second nine and the course just gets prettier from there. We met Ned on the 18th as he can out to say hi after we had finished the round. He managed to find room for us on the East and so we happily played 27! This is a beautiful course with first class hospitality and friendly staff. I truly cannot say enough about this place. Even the sandwiches at the turn wee good. I would imagine the members here are very happy. Well worth the drive from Toronto and so nice to get out of the city into the natural peaceful green beauty Carlisle Golf course offers.
