We were chasing a gas cooker recently and called there. The helpful assistant went to a good deal of trouble to get the information we required - we were looking for a non standard size. And we were certainly impressed with the courtesy and help though we eventually had to go elsewhere for a suitable appliance.

I would recommend buying things from Harvey Norman, but make sure you know what you're looking for and want to buy. Try things out and make sure the couches, beds etc are comfortable for you. The staff are great and always seem to have a bit of lighthearted banter going on between them and they are only to happy to involve you in it which give the place a nice relaxed atmosphere. Only thing bad that I can say is the shop only sells used goods (not a problem in itself) but it's not clearly stated on any signs outside of the shop so could mislead people.
