No one followed up to tell you what the next steps are in the process. If you don't keep calling to follow up no one does. Based on my experience i feel the company needs to take more effort in training its staff and improve communication, organization and urgency. I feel a result of this is being short staffed. As for the aides and the services being provided have been 50/50. A lot of them lack training, lack initiative, dirty, lazy and they steal. I understand some of these aides need a job and will take any job they can get for money, but I have to say when ANYONE applies to become a home health aide, they need to have that inner need to really want to help people. I've said this to many different facets of the health care industry and i say it here... when interviewing/hiring anyone to care/interact with the disabled/sick/elderly... the question should always be asked (in this instance) "why do you want to become a home health aide?" Their answer should be I love helping people and caring for the disabled/sick/elderly. if that is not the answer they shouldn't be employed. People who only need a paycheck and don't care about the disabled/elderly should not be hired. The disable/elderly need care, trust and help. They should not be ignored or feel like they are asking for too much. Proper training starts at the agency level. Let's try to make True Care a better place that families can turn to for care for their loved ones.

I just want to say about True Care Agency There seems to be some kind of communication problem…read morewhen trying to reach a coordinator or whoever picks up the phone. To actually get someone on the phone live in the office it's impossible. You are put on hold from 1/2 hr. To an 1hour before you actually speak to someone & when they do come on the phone, they transfer you to an extension that you cannot leave a voicemail or it hasn't been set up. When I have to call true care I take two and three different phones and I call each of them at the same time to see if I'm gonna be able to get somebody..... that would be the only way you can actually connect with someone there. I personally have Services with them for my mom and it is a challenge getting through your Coordinator on the phone. The phone system is the worst I have ever endured. They need to do better because of us the consumers they are In business. even their Home Health Aides complaint to me and asked me to see if I can get through because even them cannot get a hold of someone at the time they call. Most of the time they have to go in person because the phone system is the worst. Seems to me our calls are not important or they just don't care.

Staff were friendly, building was well-kept and clean, staff was very communicative about the treatment and care. I firmly believe people have this idea of a 5 star vacation resort in their minds when they think of rehab facilities. Will your loved ones be waited on hand and foot? absolutely not. Will they receive the care that they require to get better and ultimately return home in a clean and sanitary setting? they absolutely will!
