First off I am a hotel snob. I can find something to complain about at any hotel I have stayed at…read more The Hampton Inn Colonial Parkway in Fort Myers is awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed 8 days with 2 rooms. This hotel is clean. The housekeeping staff does an amazing job. They deserve raises. The person checking in is always helpful. Barbara Shott was there to great us on arrival. I was impressed by her willingness to help. I thought that maybe she was the exception but since then we have dealt with all the mangers and they are all great. The pool area is well kept. The complimentary breakfast is of the highest quality. The rooms are quiet. The air conditioners are whisper quiet and you don't heart people slamming doors all night. If I come back to Fort Myers I will stay here

As a lifetime diamond member, my husband was even able to check in a bit earlier than we expected. Staff has been very nice and accommodating throughout our stay, by the way. Friendly. Our room with its king size bed and sofa was large. We always take advantage of the in room fridge and microwave. It looks freshly painted and decorated. The large screen TV is huge! The bathroom has a tub shower combination with shower curtain. The toilet seat is small and low, however. Lots of fluffy towels. Breakfast is included. My least favorite combo was the meal the first day -- a whites only egg something with greasy sausage pieces that look like a hot dog chopped up. The second day was a bit better with an omelet and sausage patties. Luckily they have waffles, cold/hot cereal, and breads to toast... One positive was the free bottled water provided. This was a nice amenity. We chose the hotel for its convenience. We were in town to watch our great grandson play in an invitational baseball tournament. And the fields were not far away. I'd stay here again.

Offered water and a cocktail! Told me all the info I needed and made an excellent lunch suggestion. Gym nice and nice size (4 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, diff types of bikes, including a working recumbent bike. Lobby bar Amazing view from my room. Clean room Soft towels Cutest best makeup mirror! Great coffee shop in lobby Great restaurant on site (Ellie Mae's- separate review) Beautiful rooftop bar Amazing amount of hot water and amazingly hot. And I mean HOT water. Finally a hotel gets it right!! Valet fast and friendly. Cons l The gym is on the same floor as meeting rooms. (Didn't affect me but would suck if I had meetings at the time I wanted to workout.) Weird artwork placement - it's like they put up the art then added the furniture.

If you stop by, make sure to sit at the bar and say hi to Felix. He sets the tone for the entire place.

Really loved the…read moregrounds, the thoughtfully placed landscaping for privacy, and lots of outdoor seating options. The inside is very clean, and it's nice that everything was recently renovated. They even have different pillow options- the first night my pillow height was too high, but I realized there was a thinner pillow, which I used the rest of my stay. The owners and employees are so friendly and always there (in person or by text) to answer questions or help. This place has everything you need: beach equipment, wagon, bikes, designated parking spot, even hydrocortisone cream. We had a car, but this place is perfect for those with no car. It's only a 5 minute walk to the closest beach, 12 min walk to the lighthouse beach (and a lot of beach parking on the island is not free). It's surrounded by good food- our favorite restaurant on the island (wickies) is just across the street, along with great ice cream. Just to the right is the deli where we got yummy bagels and coffee many times. I also prefer staying on this side of the island as it's much more cozy, small-town feel, and walkable than the other side and down by the beach resorts (we drove out to see). Our flight got cancelled on our last day and Joe was so accommodating with their equipment and outdoor space. My one very minor and personal opinion suggestion would be that the fluorescent bulbs made the room feel a bit blue and stark at night, if the bulbs had a yellow tint it would feel even more cozy. We can't wait to bring our kids when they're a little older and stay here again!

Unfortunately I did not sleep a wink here, I am a super light sleeper and unfortunately the room next to ours had a couple of baritone guys that woke up at 4:30 in the morning ughhh...the beds were not the most comfy unfortunately either adding to a bit of my suffering as well. Giving it 4 stars. I unfortunately should have gotten some earplugs after the first night. I felt like they were talking to me since their convo was so close to our headboard. Owners seemed to go above and beyond so probably unfortunately just the loud guests we were next to combined with my light sleeping tendencies!!!

Let me start by saying the rooms were clean and the facility itself was nice. However, the…read morebreakfast service was extremely disappointing and poorly executed. The full breakfast setup was present, but there was effectively no usable bread for sandwiches. Instead of standard sandwich buns as shown in your brand diagrams, guests were left with only hard English muffins or crumbly drop biscuits that fall apart in your hands. This made it nearly impossible to assemble a proper breakfast sandwich, which is clearly what the eggs and toppings are intended for. The result was a breakfast that looked complete but functionally was not. I raised this issue directly with the General Manager. She smiled, listened, and placated me, but no changes were made. The exact same situation continued. I observed another guest express the same frustration and receive the same response. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or ensure guest satisfaction -- only acknowledgment without action. Because of this, I ultimately stopped eating breakfast there and chose to check out and stay at my home in Naples instead. My colleague also moved his stay to Marriott due to the same frustration. For context, I am a Lifetime Diamond member and stay at Home2 Suites properties very frequently. This location, unfortunately, does not reflect the standards I normally experience with your brand. The breakfast offering, as currently implemented, feels like a cost-cutting measure that undermines the entire guest experience. The rooms were fine. The service response was not. Leadership that listens but does nothing is not effective leadership, and breakfast quality that cannot be used as intended should be inspected and corrected. I wanted Hilton to be aware of this, as I do not believe this property is currently representing Home2 Suites at the level it should. Sincerely, Rob Lifetime Diamond

The room was spacious with a king bed. The suites all have nice sized kitchens with a full refrigerator and freezer. They are stocked with cutlery and chinaware, too. This is perfect for families. The bathroom has a large shower. I do miss the individual amenities that hotels used to have. This had the wall containers of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Breakfast was included every day. My only quibble was that the "egg" options and sides were only luke warm and not really hot. One morning we used the waffle iron to heat everything up. But no one went hungry. We'd stay here again -- as it was comfortable and convenient.

The managers were so attentive and every time we passed by checked in on us to see what activities we had done or suggest new activities for us to do. We loved the kayaking and paddle boards - also rented jet skis 2 separate days. Getting day passes for additional guests was super easy. Love the ease of the bracelets doing everything, being the key, room charge, proof we belong - super easy for everyone to keep track Of! The complimentary breakfast was "ok" nothing spectacular, but still decent. The guy who collected the towels by the pool (seemed like a manager/lead) was rude every single day - to the point we waited to take our towels back a few times to avoid another interaction. We will definitely be back!

The entire area was clean, right on the beach, and the staff was friendly everywhere we went. The resort offers a ton of amenities: free kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. They also have paid options like fishing charters and other nearby excursions. There are three pools total -- two family pools and one adults‑only pool -- plus a couple of hot tubs. Our room was amazing. We were on the first floor with a perfect view of the beach. The adults‑only pool was right in front of our balcony, so we could relax, listen to the music, or join the trivia games happening throughout the day. The room itself was spacious and included a kitchenette with a stove, which made it easy to cook if we wanted to. You can stay busy here or do absolutely nothing -- we chose the "chill" route. There are two restaurants and a bar on the property, but if you want more options, you can walk about 15-30 minutes (rough estimate) or drive 2 mins (fyi paid parking) to the main strip with plenty of shops and restaurants. The front desk also told us about a trolley that runs for $0.75 each way or $2.00 for an all‑day pass. Everything was close by, we didn't get in our car until it was time to head home. We'll definitely be coming back. It's a little on the pricier side, but with everything included -- and probably more that I'm forgetting -- it's absolutely worth it.

The "Best" in Best Western Must Be a Joke…read more If you've ever wondered what it's like to check into a hotel that smells like a wet basement had a love child with a bottle of bleach, look no further than the Best Western Fort Myers Inn -- where comfort goes to die and "guest service" is just a rumor. We checked in after a 12-hour drive, dreaming of rest. Silly us! Rest is strictly forbidden here, especially on Sundays. If you value peace, privacy, or basic sanity, you'll love being forced to vacate your room mid-morning so housekeeping can "service" it -- whether you requested it or not. Apparently, your paid space is actually their space, and your plans mean nothing. Kids, homeschooling, fatigue... who cares? Let's talk atmosphere. The hotel smells unmistakably of black mold -- a sort of "Eau de Mildew" that greets you the moment you enter. The carpets? A masterpiece of filth. Take your shoes off for one minute and you'll find your feet magically transformed to charcoal. Who needs a spa treatment when the floor can exfoliate you for free? Now, the front desk staff... where do we begin? Imagine being helped by people who have the enthusiasm of DMV employees but without the knowledge, courtesy, or clue what their own policies are. Each question you ask is like a pop quiz they didn't study for. If intelligence were optional, they'd still be on a waiting list. To make it more exciting, they'll invent new "rules" just for you -- because consistency is overrated. Need to stay longer? Surprise! You'll be handed an undated piece of paper about "new policies" written on what looks like recycled printer paper, sprinkled with words like "Effective Immediately" and "Important Update." Totally official, right? And if you dare question them? Don't worry -- they'll handle it with the grace of a toddler denied candy. You'll be talked down to, pressured, and maybe even have the cops called if you use big scary words like "discrimination" or "policy clarification." In short, this place is a masterclass in how to lose loyal customers. Between the moldy air, filthy floors, clueless staff, and the bold new "We Can Kick You Out Anytime" policy, you'll leave refreshed -- by the realization that anywhere else on Earth would be better.
