My wife Jenna and I worked with DJ Crush/Crush Entertainment for our wedding on November 7, 2015 in Beaufort, SC. What struck us right off the bat about Josh is he is willing to work to get your business. The wedding planning process can be a long and sometimes tedious process when you're reaching out to dozens of vendors at the very beginning. Often times it felt as if vendors were apathetic when you requested pricing or information. After reaching out to Josh, he actually went to our venue in Beaufort to do measurements and drafted a very thorough proposal that included both lighting and DJ services. We paid for just about our entire wedding ourselves, so we were pleased that Josh was willing to work with us on pricing, even bundling together his DJ and Lighting services. When it comes to value, I believe we got excellent value for what we paid. Josh met with us in person to make sure that he knew exactly what we were looking for. He is extremely responsive to email and by phone, often times messaging back within a few minutes that the email was sent. The day of the wedding went perfect in regards to lighting in DJ. Josh was there the day before at the very second that the venue manager was allowing our vendors to access the venue. He is extremely detail-oriented and wanted to make sure that everything was perfect. I was going to comment about Josh's lighting, but I felt like words wouldn't do it justice (I provided a link below to a few pictures). As a DJ, Josh/DJ Crush is great. He knew exactly what to play at the right times based on the energy level of our guests. He kept everyone engaged and dancing throughout the night. DJ Crush (Josh) was the MC and DJ at my best friend's wedding and, I have so say, he was absolutely AWESOME! He was very professional while still being extremely personable. His upbeat and positive energy radiated through his emceeing and got everyone up and dancing. I did not personally work with him prior to the wedding, but I did help the bride with picking songs to play at the reception. I've been to other weddings where people feel awkward and/or obligated to dance because the DJ plays those cliche wedding songs (electric slide, cha cha slide), but that was not the case here. DJ Crush made some suggestions to the bride about music choices, and he was spot on. Every single person was up dancing and having a great time. What I loved most... The bride was Colombian and the groom was American, and DJ Crush perfectly blended the music from both cultures to make the reception completely unique to this couple while still entertaining all of their guests. On top of all that, he took photos during the reception that I will personally cherish for a lifetime. They were so tastefully done and capture the emotions of the moment that I can still feel today. Working with Crush Entertainment was an absolute dream! Josh and his wife Julia, are an amazing team together. I've never worked with such great vendors at one location and I was so honored to have gotten to know them and work with them professionally. Julia, was patient, and fun, and vibrant and definitely was awesome working the photo booth. She was wonderful guiding them through the process and making sure they got the most out of all the props provided. Josh was very communicative with me with, with the day's schedule. As you can imagine this was a photographer dream! I never had to wonder when the cake cutting, was or the toasting, because he was right there letting me know minutes before so I could capture those moments correctly. And.. his music choice, so on point! It was definitely catered to our bride and groom and their family. And, not one person wasn't dancing, and that's huge!! I can't get those fun pics of people dancing, if they aren't feeling the tunes, and he definitely delivered and kept everyone happy and going for the rest of the night :) I definitely felt like everyone who participated had one another's best interest, and that is very rare. You spent so much time before the wedding day working with them on the playlist for the ceremony, luncheon and reception, you transformed the backyard into a spectacular wonderland with the lighting, you helped organize the tables for the transition between the luncheon and reception. DJ Crush is great! I couldn't have asked for better. We coordinated from out of town and Josh was easy to work with, seamless to schedule, he handled all the setup coordination with the event venue, and by the time I got there he was set up and ready to go. We had a cocktail social and banquet with a large, varied group of attendees. Even though Josh was essentially providing background music, I had several attendees compliment me on his playlist. I had told him to just go "vanilla" on his playlist, and Josh made it vanilla with sprinkles and a cherry on top :-) I highly recommend DJ Crush and we will definitely use him again if we return to the area. read more

Josh accommodated our eclectic playlist for the wedding, and then just kept our reception rocking and rolling until the wee hours. DJ crush was the first wedding decision we made after deciding to get married on Hilton head island. Josh was great at explaining our options with lots of examples from past work on the island and even at our venue (omni shorehouse). it helped he knew all the event planners at the omni also. DJ crush helped in creating a play list and a 'do not play' list so it was an absolute breeze to finalize the timeline and his music flowed perfect throughout the night. DJ Crush is AWESOME! I have had the priveledge of attending several different events where this particular DJ performed. I was thrilled to learn the music entertainment would be provided by DJ Crush. They are the life of the party, interact with the guests. The DJ is hilarious and keeps all in stitches. What a night! DJ Crush really helped bring the party to life! The sound was great and it kept the flow of the wedding! No one left without being exhausted from all the dancing. He was kind enough to donate his time and talent for a fundraiser we recently organized for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. On top of DJing the event, he even made a nice monetary donation to the cause! With his help, we raised more than $8,000 to go toward a cure for a life-threatening disease. Hurricane Joaquin caused us to flex to an alternate location and Josh was a complete professional -- meeting with us at a time that fit our schedule the day prior, picking a new location, and coming up with a great plan. I also noticed DJ Crush switching gears in the middle of the event because the clientele had changed, it didn't phase him to have to figure out what they wanted to dance to. Crush Entertainment set up a photo booth for my Daughters 13th Birthday. They did a fabulous job!! The kids had the best time and could not get enough of it!!
