I just had to let you know. The atmosphere at your venue was simple, but beautiful. Everything was set up and ready when we arrived. The food was super yummy and I went for two helpings! Not to mention two helpings of dessert as well! I was most impressed with the staff who waited on us. They were so very attentive, especially to the bride-to-be. I wish I had asked for their names as they were on-point during our whole event. Every drink was filled and refilled, the food station was carefully watched to keep it neat, and they even helped with carrying the gifts and picking up the wrapping paper. They made the bride-to-be feel like a queen! I walked out with a smile on my face to see such good service (oh, and I took a salted-caramel brownie for the ride home)! Well done Venue 1223! They had people serving Hors D'oeuvres which were a charcuterie in a cup, spring rolls, chicken, etc. The main course was either chicken, beef or specialty vegetarian dish which my wife ordered. It was basically a power bowl and looked pretty good with long strips of portabella mushrooms over salad with lots of quinoa and vegetables. My chicken was a bit dry and tough. The inside is a large open area for tables, a DJ and a dance floor. The staff was friendly and did a great job keeping food and people moving.

We knew we had to check them out. What sealed the deal for us was that they are not only work friends, but personal friends with the photographer we already booked (Dream Weaver Photos). We knew it would be important to book vendors that worked well together, so a husband and wife team who are friends with the photographer just made sense. We went into the meetings with Jeff and Cindy already with the expectation of hiring them both. While typically day of coordinators don't really help with booking other vendors, Cindy was able to offer her professional insights on hair and make up, florals, and even hotel blocks. She was responsive to every email for a full year before our wedding, and we had a thorough sit down meeting a month before the wedding. The week of, there were many frantic calls and texts to Cindy with things that seemed to be the end of the world to me, the bride, but were minor details in her eyes. At least that's how she made me feel while she calmed me down. The day before the wedding, we had an emergency and most of my family missed our rehearsal. She continued with the rehearsal with who was there, and the day of found those missing family members and talked to them about what they needed to do. Melanie came as her assistant. They were on time and had everything set up in what felt like a few minutes. They kept everything on track and kept all problems away from me. The day was perfect. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but nothing did! I actually did not even know our guest's trolley drove to the wrong location and only picked up at one of our two hotels until the guests told us the next day. Funny now, but would not have been funny the day of. Thank you to Cindy for keeping that, and who knows what else, away from me all day! I could go on about Cindy but let's get to Jeff. My husband had a very specific entrance he requested Jeff to do, and Jeff couldn't have been better at it. He had our timeline in correct order, made the announcements we asked, and even requests we made the morning of the wedding were fulfilled. He only played music we asked him to, and did not play anything on our do not play list. The dancefloor was PACKED the whole night. Not a single person was in their chair, and hardly anyone left early. Even the grandparents were out of their seats! It was the true party we were looking for and a week later, the guests are still telling us how much fun they had with the music. I am truly impressed by how well our wedding went, thanks to Cindy and Jeff. If you have not hired this duo yet, what are you waiting for?!

I pointed it out to the staff, but nothing was done... not even cleaning the crumbs out, or even simply removing the canister! Although the actual hotel is inviting, the rooms are bit outdated. The armoire knobs were replaced, and no one cared to paint or stain the raw wood that now showed. I also wondered why the bathroom only provided one towel hook on the bathroom door when it was a 2 queen bed room... and had no clue where to hand the wet pool towels! The outlet near my bed did not work, so had to charge my phone overnight in the bathroom area. Being deaf in one ear that made it difficult to hear my alarm. 2 things that annoyed me most were... 1. Many times no one was at the front door to hold the door open for struggling guests. I watched 3 different times people wrestle with their dogs, doggie bed, and luggage to get through the door by themselves. I understand someone can't be there all the time, but the installation of automatic doors should be considered. 2. Their front desk staff obviously have not been taught that 'The customer in front of you always comes first'. I stood politely and waited for the front desk person to finish their texting or email on their phone. She acknowledged me, began working on my issue, then answered the ringing desk phone, and instead of asking them to please hold a minute, she stopped helping me and dealt with their issue. The person at the front desk seemed understanding, but powerless to help. My reservation clearly showed that I reserved a room with two queen beds. One of the reservations made by my family was two separate two day reservations (four consecutive days but made as two separate reservations). We clarified that we had the same room for the whole four day stay when we checked in. At an impressively inconvenient time midday of the third day our key card stopped working. The front desk explained that corporate required us to recheck in to the room at that time and this process took longer than seems necessary in 2026 (when our stuff was already in the room and we had done the same thing two days prior). This is clearly a low functioning hotel management system that creates unnecessary and unpleasant steps for its staff and guests. The rooms are fine but a bit dated, generally showing some wear, there were multiple old USB outlets but zero modern USB outlets, service in the restaurant is incredibly slow and the food is very uneven. It's hard to mess up pizza as bad as one we got. One of our servers was completely untrained, although very polite and sincerely trying their best. Staff are friendly and our interactions with the front desk and folks cleaning rooms were very pleasant. The morning coffee and afternoon wine and snacks in the lobby was nice. There are nice seating options in the lobby and in the interior courtyard as well. The location is great with very short walks to the river or the beautiful old downtown area. There is a lovely small park adjacent to the hotel and we enjoyed sitting on benches in the shade of elegant old oaks. Old Savannah is a gem and a highlight of our trip. The gym is tiny and worthless. Generally speaking the Kimpton Brice is overpriced for what you get. The most disappointing aspect of my experience was that the location is great and the human beings working on the premises are also great, but the experience was degraded by the folks at IHG or whatever corporate scam is hurting this hotel.

We were pleased with room placement with balcony in furthest east Bldg (3Muses). We were advised water-facing rooms can be noisy. On that note, by the third and final night, Friday, this past weekend, we learned that the cobblestone street outside was quite noisy as well. Fortunately, on weekend, just after midnight, revelry noise level moves down from the billiard Halls across from our room. (Ear plugs were furnished in the room :-) Even so, we enjoyed the balcony for the mornings and pre-dinner hour: it was ambience into our room as we were getting ready for our various comings/goings. The medium-ish sized pool featured brrrrr water; not yet nuked by summer's power! But it was enjoyable for a refresh. It got unbelievably crowded on Friday afternoon, so glad we generally came earlier in the day. Fortunately my work Conference: buffet style food supplied by JW was above-average, 4* food for Conference food (3* if judged on its own merit). But we enjoyed the on-site dining from which we tried small plates from the African restaurant, fish at the seafood bar outside the main building; my wife enjoyed the breakfast dishes from the coffee shop in the main building. This is a special property. Enjoy the artwork and the unique character of each building. So much to see as meandering. Friendly Service top to bottom. I didn't explore third building, but I'm aware that there are more rooms there and an entertainment venue too. I received very friendly service for my check-in. Brandon, who helped me and my friend at the front desk, told us what we needed to know about the property and made our first impressions here very warm. The two gentlemen who worked valet, whose names I'm forgetting (sorry!) were also incredibly kind--one made effort to remember both me and my friend's names. the rooms here--beds and bathroom--are lovely, and made more unique with the featured art. I got upgraded to a river view room, which was a big plus. (you do hear the ships go by if they blow their horn! didn't bother me and my friend's with our sleep, but the noise-sensitive folks should probably wear ear plugs just in case.) If it's within your budget, then I'd highly recommend this place to put in your bucket list of "unique hotel properties to stay at at least once"!

Built in 1817 as a cotton warehouse, the River Street Inn still has its original hardwood floors, towering ceilings, exposed brick, and incredible historic charm. Walking through the building feels like stepping into Savannah's past, while somehow still feeling warm, elegant, and comfortable. Our balcony overlooked the city, the lobby was gorgeous, and every detail made us stop and look around. Best part? We found our room for $149 total after taxes. For this location and this much history, it honestly felt like stealing. A huge thank you to Lena at the front desk for making us feel so welcome.
