There are a lot of great pizza places in Springfield, but we decided to try Crust & Co during our most recent visit to The Market. The large pizza was at least an inch bigger than most places, and we enjoyed the sauce, which was more herbal than sweet. We were staying at the Courtyard Marriott across the street and our to-go order was ready in a quick 15 minutes, and they were happy to provide paper plates. Loved this pizza! It was located in a neat place to look around and an ice cream place was within walking distance. The small was large enough for me. The crust was kind of chewy, which I love. I will definitely come back here again! read more

First time here, was not disappointed great flavor. There were enough toppings, they did not skimp and that is important. I had the small cheese and sausage the crust was crunchy very well cooked the cook it in stone oven and to me that gives it that authentic taste of really old fashioned pizza taste. My workplace bought a number of pizzas from this place an I thought they were good. So I figured my family may enjoy a try. We ordered a small supreme and some bread sticks. This was the best This was the best pizza I've ever even had. And the service was really, really good and the price.

I have now tried Crust & Co. twice. The first time was during the height of Covid and at that point they only offered the "Roma" style crust. The pizza was small for the price but enough for 1 person for sure. The problem I had with that pizza was, ironically, the crust. It was a dense crust, more like a Sicilian in thickness, but it was terribly hard. It actually scraped up the roof of my mouth pretty good. Was not impressed with the "Roma" crust or pizza overall. Fast forward a year, and with Covid in the rear view, I visited co-hatch and was intrigued to see Crust & Co now had a NY style pizza. Throwing caution to the wind, I had to try their NY pizza. This proved to be a mistake. The pizza was not even remotely close to NY style. In fact it was just plain bad. The thickness was inconsistent from one edge to the other. Some spots were way to thick to be NY, and other spots were thin and watery. The execution was lousy, to put it plainly. Strike two..... the only thing from me giving them the dreaded 1 star is the garlic knots. They were good and tasty. We threw out half of the pizza ( which usually a NY pizza has no leftovers in this house). Yup, too bad to even consider reheating. If you want pizza in Springfield, stick to the known good spots. The crust is delicious, especially if you like a roman style crust, crispy on the outside by is thick and fluffy on the topping side. We had the margherita and formaggi pizza, the are very good. I do like a sweeter sauce, but I am also not an expert on traditional Italian pizza. Definitely we be going back to try the other pizza's. Worst management I've ever experienced. I ordered my lunch ahead of time. It was not ready. I politely asked the manager for a refund. He turned away from me and started waiting on customers. I have still not received a refund. I called their parent restaurant Salato and spoke with their manager Sidney who was supposed to put me in contact with the owners. Still no one has reached out. I love C&C for NY style pizza lunch special--paper plates and all. Makes me nostalgic for the time I spent living in NYC. I've also had the "bakery style" pizza, which was great. The crust is crisp outside, chewy inside, the perfect amount of sauce and enough for 2 meals (for me). Hot tip: if you like extra spicy, the diavolo is for you. I love a little spice, but this was too hot for me. Next time I know to hold the spice! read more

Best Garlic rolls I've ever had, the oil and garlic combination had a unique taste. I've had the home made baguette and sourdough, both delicious. Staff is very friendly and willing to answer questions, looking forward to trying the pizza. read more

Blah. If you're looking for Italian-style pizza, this ain't it. This is the same type of pizza crust you can get at any pizza chain. Too thick, too doughy, and completely lacking in flavor. No way this dough is made with Italian flour, as they claim. This is American pizza crust. Pizza sauce is also completely flavorless - added absolutely nothing to the pizza. Their toppings are better quality than you would find at a pizza chain, but overall one of blandest, least flavorful, toughest pizzas I have ever eaten. (I had the Prosciutto). Definitely not worth the price. ($12 for a pizza that will serve 1-2 people). read more

Wow! This pizza is amazing. I ordered the bakery pizza with onions, mushrooms, and bacon. The crust is pillowy soft and thick! The toppings are plentiful and fresh. I was going to try to save half for dinner, but I don't think that is going to happen. Will make the trip back from Columbus just to eat here again. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The service was okay, they were rather busy so I understand they weren't focused on a one to one with their customers. The young man who called my name once the food was ready came off very rude. And it made me feel I was in the wrong. The pizza was just okay, the sauce was very bland, and the crust (which is in the name) is about as average as they come. The saving grace of as the garlic knots, but other than that, I can't say I'd recommend. If you are going anytime to the CoHatch building I'd check out in if the other restaurants, as the service and food is much better. I'd love to try it again, but I can't recommend. read more
