Follow-up to my original review: Cleaning was done by you several years ago, whether you come to Homer Glen now or not, you did then,, I paid by check and have the cancelled check. My review was more of relating my experience with your company, than a complaint. The $ amount you charged me then was more than double what I have paid others to clean the gutters since.... and they came with their own supplies and did not ask me for any !!!! Setting up an appointment was very convenient, in fact, someone was available to come out the next day. Unfortunately, it turned out that scheduling was the only thing that went well. Our tech, Tom, from the outset was fretting about not having enough space between buildings to work (this is a standard Chicago block so not sure why that was a surprise) to the fact that his ladders might not be tall enough to do 2d floor windows. Next issue involved plastic covers that were left on few windows, we paid extra for Tom to remove them before cleaning the widows. Remove them he did, but instead of putting in trash, left them littering on our front lawn. More interesting is the fact that window sills were left dirty. It turned out that window sill cleaning is by "customer request" and there is an additional cost involved. Might have been helpful if this little nugget of info was disclosed at appointment time - would have saved me an element of surprise (and unfinished look). Either way, I was told by the person who scheduled my appointment when I called back to discuss, that "I should have asked for it" - so turns out it was my fault all along. Now the best part - my basement windows are where Tom's superb washing skills were showcased. There are screens on part of the window that need to be moved so that window could be washed. Usually I coordinate with the tech and move them so that he can clean. Tom determined that it was too much work and only cleaned the part that didn't have the screen. When I confronted him about it he told me that his office only gives him so much time to do any given job, so basically I was out of luck. We tend to hire service providers from our neighborhood, because you can just reach out to the owner/manger and work thru any issues that my arise. That was the approach that we took with Crystal Clear. My husband went to the office, which is 5 min. from our house, thinking that he could explain the situation (that tech didn't properly finish the job) and get it resolved. Lady came to the door, never opened it, didn't bother asking why he was there. Instead, kept on pointing to the awning to call the number above. Customer service at its best. Overall, very expensive and disappointing experience. read more

Francisco did a good job on my windows. With the overcast it's hard to see if it's okay through my Bay window. Finally some sun & there were a few swirls. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS COMPANY TO THE BBB FOR OVERCHARGING ME!! They overcharge for all services be sure to get multiple estimates. And the customer service is horrible! Go elsewhere! This place did a horrible job of giving me exactly what I didn't ask for and charged me 2800 dollars to power wash and stain. I later got 2 more estimates and both were for half the price. I got a wash and NO stain. They suck and the manager hung up the phone in my face when I expressed my disappointment. Never again!! read more

The gentlemen who cleaned my windows were courteous and did a nice job. My complaint is with the company office staff and their lack of customer service. I was first leery when they required my credit card 24 hours before service was rendered. They said it was to ensure customers pay for service... I had to question why so many customers feel the need to dispute charges with this company? Then, when I requested a bid I clearly explained that I had 19 windows and 4 of them were skylights. They said someone would drive by and they'd call back. 2 days later they called me with a bid for 350.00 dollars. I asked for a bid in writing (because they wanted my credit card). When they arrived and began to do the job they got to the skylights and told me it would an additional 80.00! By now, I was midway through a job and looking at a sizable up-charge. When I called the office, they were extremely rude and combative, talking over me as I tried to explain and totally disregarded the fact that there was miscommunication on their part. It's unfortunate that this company's work staff is so polite, yet their office is rude and unfriendly with customers. read more

Way too hurried!! Wouldn't wash a window if the screen was still on. I had to take the screen off myself!I had to bring the guy back TWICE for windows he missed. The owner kept calling me - more concerned about how the payment will be made, but never called to ask if Iiked the job. All-in-all, a half-#ssed job. Never again. read more

***in response to the comment, our building is compiled of 4 different addresses...850, 854, 825 and the unit above the garage. Believe it or not, these four compile only 11 units and is treated as ONE BUILDING. It was quoted in the estimate and if you are able to look at the notes, it's all there. Moreover, it is treated as a one building condo unit. We have one condo board association, etc. I'm sorry if it's difficult for you to understand but this was 100% discussed in the initial consult and the first time they cleaned and the second time they cleaned...and the third time was the last straw. EVERYTIME same problem. I do believe my husband used some swear words however, I'm pretty sure your guys were also throwing out F bombs. He would never use racist terms and I do believe he called your technicians lazy. Your company has been EXTREMELY frustrating in the ONE year that we have used you...not even a year. We had agreed on window cleanings THREE times per year and we have only used you twice. If you can look through the notes...which I'm not sure exist, you will see we started using you less than a year ago. I'd be happy to show you our platz survey for the building/buildings. And he went through all of that several times with the initial consult. It's unprofessional to have to waste our time for over an hour EVERYTIME your different technicians come because there is no way to communicate this. Well another window cleaning co bites the dust...PLEASE IF ANYONE IS LISTENING, recommend a good windows cleaning for a condo building that has high windows but not a huge commercial building...very difficult to find. They came, gave us a quote and then when they came to wash windows, the techs said "too many windows." So it was a whole run around game with calling the office. The original quote was for $900. Finally, they cleaned and supposedly put a note in the system that this was what was agreed upon. $1400 for the initial and then $1200 for cleanings after this...so they increased the price on us despite us showing the initial guy ALL of the windows of the two buildings...so frustrating. Guess what, they've come three times and EVERYTIME it's the same problem. Technicians say "no, no too many windows." We have to call the office and then it's this big project which should just be simple. The third time was the final straw. I cannot tell you how frustrating this company is and the technicians come and complain. Then to call the office etc. The notes in the system never get relayed. We are just trying to get the service that we agreed upon done...no more, no less...period. My husband told them we would take our business elsewhere. Plus, the last time they came, the windows were not crystal clean...not even close. Streaky and very mediocre. For $1200-1400 for an 11 unit condo building...it's ridiculous. Interactions with this business are beyond maddening. I strongly recommend people to find an alternative provider. It's not like there's a big result delta given they're washing windows. We had them out on a Friday for exterior window cleaning. I asked them to leave invoice and I would pay via mail as we had done several times previously. Monday the calls and emails started demanding payment! Tuesday my wife called the office to arrange payment via phone because, apparently, that money was vitally important. Today (Wednesday) I received two calls AND two emails reminding me of our outstanding bill. They did an acceptable job on the actual cleaning. Maybe they'd be worth it to people paying in cash, day of, and they are the cheapest quote. Otherwise, enjoy feeling important as they absolutley blow you up asking where their money is... read more

Well a few issues here. Customer service is a problem. They can't remember if or when they called you and if or when the appointments have been confirmed, so it was chaos from the beginning. Daniel the manager seems in over his head and is very off-putting. If you are not watching them, they will skip windows and not do them at all. I was going to let it go but then a neighbor used them and said they had the same problem! I called to talk to them about it and they said they would fix both houses. After several days of them promising to come and then not coming, and more than 1 dozen calls and emails interrupting my work day to reschedule, they decided once on-site that they didn't want to stand behind their work after all. They said it was "too much work" and that it would "take a whole hour." It's too bad considering I paid them in full to do those windows that were never done in the first place. read more

If it were possible to give minus stars I would! I found this company because Chicago magazine listed them as a great window washing company. NIGHTMARE COMPANY RUN! We called them to wash the windows of our newly renovated 1872 Victorian house. They came to the house, seemed professional, gave an estimate which was good in comparison to the other companies we had estimates from. ON the day that they said they were coming, they canceled...fine. The next time we had set up the guy finally showed, was immediately complaining about how the job was underbid. I told him to call the guy who bid it. He was on the phone swearing and shouting at his boss right in front of us...UUG...then he was slamming ladders against our newly painted house. As you can imagine, I asked him to settle down. We have brand new wooden reproduction storm windows on the house and they are not easy to get on/off. So of course the guy was struggling. So the boss eventually showed up, walking right into our house and was helping the other guy. I let him know I was not happy that he didn't ask permission or acknowledge the homeowners in anyway. RUDE RUDE! So fine...they get working and I am sure the job was way harder then they anticipated. The worker was complaining that he was the one getting screwed cause he got paid by the job. At the end, he asked me to sign a paper, but before I did, I walked around the house, and I noticed that the metal turn clips that hold the storms on were not put on straight nor the way he found them. So I asked him to correct them. He got out his ladders again and went around the house to fix them...I even pitched in and corrected the entire first floor myself. I finally signed the paper, paid him and I even gave the guy an extra 60$ bucks because I felt sorry for him. (figuring an extra hour of work). Exactly 2 weeks later during a huge wind storm, one of the storm windows from the 2nd story fell out of window and onto the ground, destroying it. This one was hard to see from the ground, so I suspect the guy never fixed the fasteners on this one. I called the company and explained what had happened. I got a quote to replace the custom storm for 260$. The owner of the company told me that I only had 72 hours to make a complaint via the contract so I was screwed. He said if I want I could take him to court and he would win...he has a rock solid contract. He obviously knew it was his companies fault....but the contract gave him an out. He said he would do me a favor and have one of his buddies who is a wood worker make me a new one for 75$ that I had to pay! I was I don't think so. I wanted the same thing that was on the house. The guy told me to screw myself. He was one of the worst business people I had ever worked with! So in the end, I had to eat the cost of the window...and as you can imagine, I will not be using them again! STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE GUYS AS YOU CAN. To the owner of the company, I hope this review was worth the 260$, and the loss of what could have been a great customer, and potentially others as well. My suggestion is do business professionally, and stand behind your work. You will win in the long run!...What goes around comes around! read more

We have used this company for about five years now. They provide general housekeeping services for our 12 unit condo building. Their cleaning work is excellent. I am amazed at how clean things can be with a single operator. From time to time we have used them for special projects like pressure washing the garage. The job is always well done, but their pricing is not always the lowest for some jobs. Strangely, window cleaning, their supposed forte is more expensive than other vendors. I should be clear that their work is excellent, but their back office operations are not always up to par. Disputes over whether or not invoices have been paid occur from time to time. read more
