I had my front windshield replaced on my F 150 less then a year my rear view mirror came down while I was out of the city. So I went to the next ford dealership and they told me to go back to the company who replaced my windshield as it was still under warranty. Crystal Glass on the S.S. repaired it. They left me a mess on my windshield, dashboard and counsel eventho I ask them to please clean the windshield after the repair. But no such luck. Replaced my windshield three months ago. Not a single mark on it, not one tiny chip. Warmed up the vehicle for around ten minutes, drive for less than a minute and a pressure crash top to bottom on the inner pane. The manufacturer not interested as they only give 30 day warranty on pressure cracks. Either way it's a manufacturer or install issue..... not mine. I won't ever use them again. read more

Got my windshield replaced through these guys. Was told 2-3 hours. Show up 3 hours later and am told they had an issue and the first install cracked when they installed it. They are still working on the second instal plus it will need 30 minutes of cure time before I can take it so another 1.5 hours. I have other appointments and have to pick up the kid from school. This should have been something I was notified of when it was happening so I could have planned around it. Not left to show up and be told sooo um...yeah... Apparently, the potential customers on the phone are more important than the actual customers standing at the counter waiting to drop off their vehicle. And it was their Assistant Manager that was doing this, not some trainee. This was observed both in the morning when we were dropping off our vehicle and in the evening when we were picking it up. Incidentally, on the third visit when I went back to get it fixed, he continued to do this, despite THREE customers at the counter. They managed to install the windshield incorrectly the first time -- I discovered this when I was on my way home and the wiper was making a weird noise. It was rubbing on the plastic trim at the bottom! You'd think they'd have checked on that before releasing it... so after wasting 2 hours of my weekend watching them redo it, the only thing I can say that's good is that their shop foreman actually knows his stuff. *IF* I go back here, he'd be the only one touching my vehicle. There were no offers of compensation for the mess-up -- nothing like "oh, we'll take $50 off next time," or "hey, would you like it if we gave you a free application of this Aquapel stuff we're pushing with the half-dozen signs or so around here?" read more

I called this location a couple of weeks ago, looking for a quote for a new windshield. I was greeted by a very polite and welcoming person on the phone, but it quickly surpassed polite into annoying sales tactics. I made it very clear I just wanted a quote. While getting the quote, they mentioned some coating on their windshield that does something, I can't even remember, but he said it normally costs X amount, "but how does FREE sound for you?"... to which I say "Look, I really just want a quote for the windshield". He gives me the price and in the same breath says "So how about Monday, what time works for you?". I give them props for their sales tactics, but all it did was piss me off and 100% make me go somewhere else. I don't like annoying sales tactics when I'm buying a car, and I certainly don't expect them when I'm just looking for a windshield. read more

Would never recommend to a friend. I walked in and asked to have my windshield looked at for rock chip and small crack repair. The service lady said she would take a look at it, so I waited patiently in their lounge while she was on the phone. Then she went to the shop and I waited over 10 minutes. I asked another front desk attendant if he could assist me and he told me to wait and resumed chatting with this coworker in an office. I was able to read reviews online for this location and search for another place to go to instead and even after all that time, I still was not helped. I also agree with other reviews that they answer the phone more than actually help the customers in the office. Rude. read more

I had my windshield replaced at this location in the Summer of 2021. As my vehicle is mostly in a garage, it does not see weather very often. 2 months after the windshield replacement, I was driving in the rain and the interior of my vehicle above the windshield was soaked, and the interior lights filled with water. I took my vehicle back to Crystal Glass to have this fixed, however, they told me it was not because of the windshield, but the antenna on the roof of the car. Once again, I drove in the rain and water went through the interior of my car, through the dash and is now dripping on my feet. I took my vehicle into another shop for inspection, and was advised that the windshield is not properly sealed on the top right hand corner and water was getting in. So, off I go to pay more money for another windshield and go have my car detailed for the water damage on the interior of the vehicle. I would not recommend going to this location - they do not admit their mistake or fix their mistakes! read more

This place is a nightmare! Melissa at the front desk is rude and unfriendly! They are ordering the wrong parts and then waste your time without really caring about it or trying to make you feel better. Just save yourself some time and a lot of energy and find another place. read more

As most of us Alberta's know, rock chips happen. It doesn't matter when it hits, having it filled can be time consuming and annoying. Like honestly, nobody has time for that. In order to prevent a nasty dime size dent in my window from spreading 18 different directions across my windshield, I had to get it filled ASAP. So, I asked Siri to find me the nearest glass repair shop and Chrystal Glass SEC was 2 minutes away. I made a quick call, to see what was up. Law woman named Sandra answered my call. And Sandra is the best. She advised me to come in right away to have my chip repaired and also informed me about a $5 off coupon that was available on their site. She was friendly and efficient. When I pulled into their parking lot, and walked into their showroom both customer service agents where are on the phone. A gentle man who's name I didn't catch put his call on hold and told me someone would be with me right away and scampered away to finish what he was doing. I waited all of 2 minutes before someone was with me and my car was in the bay getting looked after. Wow. With the coupon I paid a whole $31.50 with tax. Awesome. After reading a tip on yelp I was a little concerned before paying but totally relieved when it was, what it was. Took the boys in the shop about 15 minutes to get me back on the road. Ya, window chips are inconvenient, but Chrystal Glass made it as painless as possible. I'll be back when i get another chip or need my windshield replaced. read more

This location is untrustworthy, rude, unprofessional, bad workmanship, and has the worst customer service I have ever seen. They first put the wrong type of windshield in my vehicle (made in china with terrible clarity XYG brand), after putting the proper windshield in the vehicle they had broken the two trim pieces alongside the windshield as well. Not only did they break the trim pieces, but all the clips were broken as well. To hide the damage they used urethane as glue to hold the trim in. After taking pictures and telling them about the issue, they then denied breaking anything on the vehicle, the assistant manager Rick Belanger was no help at all and rude. He then directed me to the Manager Vince Giguere, who claimed his best employee of "27 years of experience" would never do such a thing. So even their "BEST" employee has amateur experience, and this shop is nothing but a bunch of hack jobs. My vehicle had a factory windshield which had never been replaced and this shop wrecked the vehicle. Had to get someone of actual skill from windshield surgeons to repair and clean out all the extra urethane for me. Vince Giguere called me and said he would not replace anything on my vehicle, said it was my problem, and he doesn't care. What kind management/owner says that to a customer. I hope this review makes you lose more customers then the $300 trim pieces would have costed. Which you ALSO wanted me to pay for 50% of it when you guys had broken it. I hope this review helps everyone to choose a better business, rather then a bunch of amateur hack job ass holes. read more

The staff at the front desk is extremely arrogant and needs to learn how to talk polite to customers instead of coming across extremely ignorant for no reason. That is the second time I have been repulsed by going in there to get new windows. Not only did I decide to no longer use crystal glass , but I also found another quality shop in edmonton to replace my window and it was HALF the price . So disappointed from this place .Never ever go this place. RICK the guy at the reception made me fool. I had one little chip on the windshield and showed him to fix it. The other old guy drove my car into the workshop and after 1 minute Rick said there is one more chip on your windshield. The other chip look like a star on my windshield and it was clearly look like they ditched something into the windshield to make more money. I told him it wasn't there before. i am driving this car from a long time. He said so we make it and he ran away. They charged me 60 dollars. So i would say never goes to this place. They just want to take out money from your pockets. read more

Had a broken window repaired here. Staff are unpleasant to deal with. Difficult about timing. When I picked up the window it had blood all over it. Unacceptable. Would not go here again. read more
