they didn't value my time at all, my appointment was scheduled for 1:00 pm and I arrived with the expectation of it taking about an hour or two at the most. well when I arrived, they toils me it would be two hours possibly 2 1/2 hours. so since t location is isolated in the middle of the industrial complex I was forced to compete with traffic even to cross the street. after 2 1/2 hours I returned and there was my truck in the parking lot. Not moved even an inch. so here I sit 3 hours later with the promise "we're bringing it in next". this is my second windshield here and I had the exact same experience last visit. I did fix rock chip at west end location in Edmonton the service wasn't good i did go back after they hand me my keys back i said it look it is not been done they no it is ok but the lines from the chip want despair we do warranty our work now after a month my windshield got crack from the chip they fixed to the middle i call them they said you have to replace the windshield and we give you $ 40 discount for the service that you paid for so the new windshield after discount over $400 and they were very rude talking to me . read more

I got a new windshield about 3 years ago and lucked out the first two years. Then BAM this year multiple rock chips. It seemed like I was going in every week to get a chip repaired. I would often get these things filled at the tents you see in store parking lots sometimes. It was always just quick and easy. I decided to use these GlassMasters because AMA started offering rock chip services to AMA members (Premium RV members). The first rock chip repair free and then then rest 50% off. The staff have always been friendly and the service fairly quick. I didn't make any appointments. I would just stop by during the day for a walk-in visit. I think the most I waited was about 20-30 mins one time. So if you are a Premium RV AMA member you should really use this place as it is such a great deal. If you aren't I would still recommend them as the service and quality is very good. Most of my chips they fixed are not very noticeable. I had one big one that they filled that you can still see quite a bit but it is still better than it looked before the repair. read more

I had excellent service from Azum, Reshad, and Leighton from the south Edmonton shop. I got very quick quotes online, but trying to get two quotes on one form caused a bit of confusion, and somehow suddenly a manager from the Red Deer shop came into the picture, to make sure I got sorted, and was booked for the location that I wanted. They provided personable, professional service. Leighton came to my home to pick the car up early afternoon, and brought it back end of same day. Lucky me- that was a February special I think! They replaced the windshield, and a rear vent window. Prices were fair, with the vent window amazingly on site- no special orders/extra shipping costs, which made that less expensive than other places that I'd called. I would not recommend this company. I want to make it clear that they try very hard to work with you but at the end of the day they farm out the jobs for people that are not reliable. Do not waste your time searching for some cash back. I lost a day of work and the installer came with a BIG BS on me and my day was over. AAA does a terrific and professional job of installing glass in cars. They're modern, quick to get back with a quote and get the job done in exactly how long they say they will. I had my car broken into a week back and my driver's side window was broken. I called them on a Saturday afternoon and got a quote and an appointment for Monday morning. I was busy in the morning so took the 3 p.m. appointment. When I reached there the guy told me it'll take 2 hours (the same time he had said on the phone) and I was prepared for that because AAA is really close to the Transcend on 99th street. So I walked down and got my coffee fix and some work done, while they fixed my car. I needed my windshield replaced after an owl carrying a snake flew into my vehicle at highway speeds (seriously). Glassmasters provided a super quick online quote and they were significantly better priced than every other place I checked with. I went to the southside location, and they said I should expect installation to take 2.5 hours, but it only took 1.5 hours. They charged exactly what they quoted and were incredibly friendly in the shop. At one point somebody called their shop and it was a wrong number. The guy at the desk went out of his way to try and find a location for this other business the caller was looking for. That kind of helpfulness seems to be part of their company culture which is awesome to see. Had my windshield replaced. On closer inspection after removing tape I noticed the moulding was not flush with the body. I expect my vehicle to leave the same way it comes in. Also noticed that the glass had slipped downward. Brought the issue to the managers attention and he suggested I come in so he could take a look but not before trying to dismiss it as a normal moulding issue. Said all GMC has the same problem. Fast forward to later that day. He had a look and pretty much said the same thing. Not a problem with the install. Didn't even jump up to have a look at the glass slippage. Fine! I decided to get a second opinion and went to Crystal Glass down the street in S. Common. Rick the manager came out no problem to assess my new windshield install and noticed the shoddy workmanship before we even got to the vehicle pointing out what I had suspected. Your windshield has slipped down. They didn't allow it enough time for the adhesive to bond properly. Also noted the stripping was not flush to block water seepage underneath the moulding which if left long enough could collect water in unprotected area and lead to rusting issues. I'm so disappointed in Glass Masters. After all the word "Masters" is in your title. My first attempt at resolution was dismissed by the manager who appeared annoyed with me even questioning his work. Won't be going back. Crystal Glass will be attempting to get my new windshield out without breaking it. 50/50 chance but I'm guessing I will be forking out more money for a new windshield because of the shoddy install at Glass Masters. Won't be coming back again. Messed up their 1st chance to make a good impression. read more

I called for one day notice to get my BMW windsheild replaced and they accomodated me right away. Now the kicker... best price quote from anyone in the city. I appreciate the price but I actually value service above all. Install was done in the time they said and will be bringing the Volvo there next month to get it done as well. I think its tricky to know if you get a good windshield replacement or not... I wasn't very educated on it going into my experience here this week. im not sure im that educated even now but im going to go 4 stars. My biggest concern is im not sure the stripping is glued down proper around the windshield now that I got the car back... but I put it through the wash and no leaking... also the car has some webbing in the glass where the mirror is and along the bottom... not 100% sure I wanted that. I wasn't asked. But who knows? maybe my complaints are normal what I liked is these guys got me in and out on time as promised... hit their quoted charge to me... and man were they ever busy on that phone as I waited for my car... these guys seem to be doing business with everyone in town... seemed friendly to me... helpful... nice waiting room... it was confusing trying to choose a place to get my windshield done but im glad I ended up at glass masters. I will update this if it turns out my concerns were more serious but for now I do like guys that keep their promises and car guys always are a concern with how the bill can change. the bill was what I was quoted here and the job was done on time read more

While replacing my windshield, they shattered the piece of glass that is directly attached to it. The piece that is attached to the sun roof. I brought it toward there attention and they said it was like that before they removed. BULL/%^&!!! They showed me obscure pictures of it before the replaced my windshield.. there is now a giant gouge in the glass where I believe the technician was digging out the old windshield and realized it wasnt part of it. Way to go Archie! I was in the waiting room while all of this was happening for and hour before my ride came to pick me up. I wonder why They didn't bring this to my attention right away, instead they waited until I paid for the windshield and then I noticed it when I was about to get into my car.. and why didn't they call me to ask if I wanted that piece replaced as well. Lesson learned, always take pictures of the work needing to done!!! I WILL NEVER BE BACK.. if I could give no stars I WOULD!!!! read more

This place was phenomenal! I applied for a quote online and had one back in my email an hour later. By far the cheapest too which made it a no brainier. When I went in, I can't remember if his name was Daryl or Darren (I'm terrible with names) but he was awesome! Incredibly friendly and knowledgable. I had scheduled glass masters to install some windsheilds in vehicles i own.I had called and ordered 1 of them 2 WEEKS before the install date..ON THE DAY OF the install i was contacted to be told that 1.My windsheilds were really old and would take hours to install and i would need to reschedule. 2.It was my fault there was a need to reschedule because they were shortstaffed 3.I was at fault because i was pissed at the cancellation and must reschedule.I must say in my opinion if they are that thin skinned over an f-bomb or 2 then find another business to go to.....avoid the excuse train you get when they can't meet their commitments.They should be called gas masters..just a bunch of hot air with no results. read more

I went in to get two of the little chips in my front window fixed and I can't say enough about the service at this location. The folks here know what they are doing and get you in and out quickly. Now, I am now one for knowing a lot about vehicles but I was impressed when I didn't feel like I was being talked down to (which is nice as a woman) and I didn't end up spending my entire day waiting for the job to be done..... Really, isn't that all that you need when getting car repairs done on your vehicle? Had an awesome experience with this place!!! At 2 am some really helpful person decided to smash in my passenger side window without taking anything. While I was stressing about this I did an online quote (did this with multiple places) and the first people to respond was GlassMasters with a quote and a $25 dollar off coupon. I called right after 7am and was able to get an appointment for 9am (they would have done earlier but they had to order the piece in. I arrived and the staff was personable and very helpful. They got my glass installed in just over and hour and I was able to get to work for the rest of my day. Also, What they quoted me was exactly what I paid. Had a windshield replacement done at this location on my wife's Sienna, no problem. Quoted price is what I paid and the work done in a timely manner. That really should be the easy part that gets done right wherever you go, and it was. The problem comes when you get a chip in it a month later...have to pay for the repair, and it isn't done right. It was not filled with epoxy and now the "fix" has turned into a 24" long crack. Wife was told that the repair cost can be credited towards another new windshield. Not impressed at all and will not use these guys ever again nor refer them to anyone. read more

Online booking - very easy to use. Open Saturdays - did our grocery shopping while windshield was being replaced. Friendly customer service - explained everything and was a nice fella! Amazing service! First they replaced my windshield at the best cost I could find in Edmonton, a week later my passenger window required replacement and they did that as well for low cost. Fast forward to today and my windshield was fogging up, I called and was booked in within 2 hours, they found the issue and had it fixed quickly free of charge. I am updating my review because the regional Manager assisted me in resolving my windshield issue. The 5 star rating is for the 6028 118 Ave NW (Edmonton west) and 2833 Broadmoor Blvd, Sherwood Park locations. In my opinion, both of these locations understand the importance of Customer Service and were willing to listen and understand and work together with me. I recently had my semi I truck into the Sherwood park location.i pulled up to the open door and the man said who told you to pull up here he said rudely park over there and go inside. I thought maybe I should just leave but I needed a windshield I got a monster rock on the drivers side. Well I went in did the paperwork and went to the flying j for about 2 hours. I came back and checked it it was out of place so I reached in side and touched it and it popped out of place. The so called Forman came out said it was fine I knew it was not. That is when I lost my temper and at him and the manager a lot I run the USA and I don't have time for errors. So they said if it leaks bring it back on Saturday. They said they would try and seal it if it leaked and if they Brooke it I would have to pay for it as I had touched it. So said I'm not going back to of the rudest men or mouse I ever met. I got a ruputable company that I know and trust in Saskatchewan to try and seal a it poured water all the way home. Now I have to pay again for a new windshield. Read this before you make business there!!!! GlassMaster Calgary. I brought my car to get a window replace. They returned the car damaged. They broke the door panel clips and scratched the vinyl all around the door panel (as if using a knife to pull the door panel apart), they assumed responsibility for the property damage but refused to take the car back in for fixing until their regional manager "Randy" was contacted. I brought in the car for a second time to get the property damage fixed, but it was returned with a broke speaker and the window off track (it wont close tight, snow/wind/dirt comes through it), the door panel scratches were cover with ink that has already faded away. I asked for a refund and now a "new" regional manager, "Mark" told me that if I accepted the refund money he was not going to be responsible for repairs despite the multiple emails promising repairs from "randy" and pictures taken as proof of the property damage caused them. For those of you with similar experiences, please lets get together and do something about it, I will be glad to report this kind of abuse to people that to care for justice. read more

Mixed review for the Edmonton South location: I had the front windshield of my Chrysler replaced at GlassMasters and was completely satisfied with the cost, the result and the service. Then last summer I had the side window of my Explorer smashed out, and went to them. When I went to pick the vehicle up I pointed out they hadn't matched the tint of the window to the other side. They argued with me saying that the window must have had an aftermarket tint and said that Explorers didn't come with side windows (rear door) tinted that dark. Checking the part number on the window on the other side shows that Ford had originally included the darker tint from the factory. Very disappointed I now have different tints on the windows. So, on balance, 5 stars for the Chrysler windshield installation and just 1 star for the side window for an average rating of 3. UPDATE: GlassMasters contacted me and offered to replace the window to match the tint at no cost. I think personnel had changed since I initially had the problem - but kudos to the new folks for reaching out and making things right. I had them replace the front windshield of the Explorer at the same time they did the side window, and am very happy with that. I'd give them a 5-star rating but for the problem I had with previous staff. The new folks seem to have things figured out. read more

Got three new windshields done in my vehicles this past summer. With two previous experiences at Edmonton glass shops a few years back I found that the quoted price was not the final price. When it came time to pay both bills they added the expected GST but also a bunch more to the bills such as moulding charges, shop supplies and environment fees for glass. Environment fee for glass? For your information there is no government environment tax on glass despite what these guys tell you. It's a bogus fee. This time around I was careful to ask for and be very specific that I wanted a detailed quote with everything included. Don't like surprises. Glassmasters quoted a total price and I booked my vehicle in for the work to be done but when it came time to pay the bill, guess what? They still added an additional environment fee for glass onto the bottom of the invoice even though they quoted me a price with everything included. They insisted I had to pay the extra fee and felt it necessary to berate me when they finally gave in and took it off the bill. I won't be back. There are better glass shops than this one. read more

I got a quote from them via the website. Every other glass shop quoted between 550 and 600 for my Land Rover's windshield. Even Glass Masters quoted in that range over the phone. The website on the other hand, quoted at 375. Same great service. Just a way better price! Even my wife's Mercedes quoted at 375 when all others fell between 500 and 600. I'm really impressed.
