You can pack a cooler and leave it in your car so you don't have to buy drinks or food there. But There is nothing like the feeling of being at an event like concession foods. So hard to describe. I bought my entrance tickets online. I paid $50.00 to sit at the tower in the grand stands. I was in section "C". I suggest picking section "A" so you can see the cars coming out onto the track. Bring ear plugs or if you forget you can buy some there. I brought my apple beats so I could also listen to music. Lots of opportunities to go into the pits and speak with the drivers, look at the cars, and ask questions. Very personable. Bring CASH for drinks and food. You can buy souvenirs with a credit card though. It's loud, it's in the environment so dress accordingly and in my case bring hand warmers. I enjoyed seeing a school bus complete a 1/4 mile stand and seeing fireworks shot from the top of the truck. My favorite was Hellfire from Canada who lit up the night sky. 18,000 horse power and a sight to see.
