Everyone was very polite and welcoming. I was pleased to have found a new salon that seemed so happy to have me there! As a little background, I haven't been able to have my hair colored in a salon for years due to how expensive it is, but I have finally reached a place in my life where I am financially ok, and able to treat myself with something like this. I was very excited. They took a $75 deposit for the appointment, which I was really looking forward to. However, the next day I was called and told my appointment was cancelled because my colorist did not feel comfortable bleaching my hair and was afraid of damaging it. I understand that everyone has their own comfort levels and boundaries, but I am not sure she is in the right line of work. All bleach damages hair - I am fully aware of this! I am an adult capable of making my own decisions. It seems strange to make an appointment for a new client and then cancel on them the next day. A little unprofessional, and pretty crushing for someone who is finally able to afford these expensive services! If you don't want your new client, say so at the consultation. I really feel like my time was wasted. They refunded the deposit at least. But I won't go back.

The trendy purple haired receptionist greeted me with a big smile as I walked in offering me tea or coffee. She made me a piping hot capp. while I waited for my hairdresser. Didn't have to wait long. I especially appreciated my hairdressers explanation of how to best style my hair with my brand spanking new haircut, uber helpful. Overall great experience and will recommend to my friends in the neighborhood.

This was my first time having any sort of permanent extension so instead of buying the more expensive high quality hair from the salon I purchased cheaper hair from a beauty supply store. My natural hair underneath is about 15 inches long so this weave was just to protect my hair from the dye. 5 hours later I walk out of the salon looking like a disaster, there was no blonde although I showed them two pictures and a video of what I wanted, the front of my hair didnt match the back, there were highlights that started from the roots and ended half way down my hair, it was horrible! So bad that I had to run home and buy a box dye to cover up what they had done. The owner of the salon is very nice and offered for me to come back in the next day to see what could be done. I first went to a salon downtown to ask their opinion on how to fix it and the stylist there did a strand test and was able to get the exact colour that I wanted. Then once I went back to hair extensions pro the stylist essentially told me it was my fault for buying cheap hair and that it was impossible to get the colour I wanted. Obviously having seen another stylist get the colour I was looking for I knew this was not the case and that she just didn't know how to colour the hair properly. She then refused to give me a refund for the highlights claiming that they should have actually charged me for two sets of highlights since I wanted balayage/ombre?! Completely ridiculous, If your looking for a salon that knows how to properly dye hair this is not the place!
