First off, the food here was great. The crepes we ordered were delicious and the wine that went with it was cheap and very good (not to mention completely refreshing after a day spent walking around in the sun). We sat outside and had a view of the Arena, which was very nice.
However, the service at Mam Goz is a little off. When we first arrived, they were not that busy, as there was an event going on in the Arena. After a non-interested waitress sat us, we had a very attentive waiter who was very friendly. We ordered and received our entrees and wine and enjoyed them.
However, as the Arena emptied out and the tables filled up, service went downhill. I think they were either not staffed enough or the staff they had was inexperienced. After dinner, we ordered dessert and waited. And waited. After about 10 minutes, the waiter came by to ask us if we were ready for our bill. We replied that we were still waiting for dessert. So we waited. An waited. After about 15 minutes, the waiter came back with our bill. So we never got our desserts. They weren't on the bill, so we just paid and left.
A little disappointing since this was our last meal in Arles. However, the food is quite good. I would just suggest going there when it's not very busy. read more
