Can't find a "must have" product from your home country in the Super Ley or Bodega Aurrera? Odds are, CS Foods has it! The store caters to us gringos who are seeking familiar foods that aren't common here. My case in point: black olives, english muffins, and raw almonds were purchased on my initial visit. Wahoo! There are freezers you can peruse that have goods ranging from meats (i.e. bacon, sausages, salmon filets), to bakery items (i.e. pies, filling). Also a nice variety of spices, pantry items, baking goods and plethora of kitchen utensils and knickknacks. Items they did NOT carry (but I wish they did): vegetarian meat substitutes (i.e. veggie dogs, veggie burgers), baked beans, and frozen meals. :-D Worth checking out if there's a 'must have' item you can't find elsewhere! Clean, well organized, very friendly and helpful bilingual staff (owner?). read more

Gorgonzola, blue cheese, avocado oil, American butter (salted or un), babyback ribs, rye and sour dough bread, Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce, the list goes on and on. These things are not available anywhere else in Puerto Penasco! Of course, CS is primarily a restaurant supply, but they are also open to the public, and they will sell most items in small quantities. My American and Canadian friends here often ask me how much the goodies at CS cost. Who cares!! They are actually very reasonable, and you can order seasonal favorites like turkeys and ham. They've saved me numerous Arizona grocery runs. read more
