I recently transferred to this…read moreChapman Highway location from the CSL Plasma center in the Fort because I moved nearby and this place was within walking distance. The operational setup here makes no sense. On any given visit, there is only one person working the vitals check-in, maybe two phlebotomists on the donor floor, over 10 empty beds sitting unused, and yet somehow three upper-management staff standing around. Be prepared to stand for at least 2.5 hours just to get your vitals checked. Management seriously needs to hire more floor staff instead of hoarding suits. Absolutely terrible experience.

I knew I was going to be treated as a new donor; there were ten donors in line when I arrived and only ONE person working that line and the new donors! After completing my video, I waited in the new donor line for 20 minutes without anyone helping me. I finally decided to leave and there were four people behind me and a dozen waiting in the regular line. There were only 3 phlebotomists working the entire floor. Why weren't some of the laid off Grifols workers hired?! It's absolutely ridiculous the amount of money Octapharma makes off plasma donations and how short staffed they are.

I contemplated coming here after a previously horrible experience with my 8 year old after an ear drum ruptured in the middle of the night. I left the ER and went straight to children's. Tonight I found myself debating on going to this hospital or head to another, more reputable one. Regretfully, I chose the closest. There is no compassion, not even communication. I remain sitting in excruciating pain, sobbing and can't get ibuprofen for the pain. I have been in a room for 2 hours and haven't seen a nurse. No one has come check on me. I've called for some ibuprofen for the pain and I get, "I'll ask" and disconnected. As a practice administrator and regional resource for Hospitalist groups, I am appalled and disgusted.

My ER doctor was the best, explaining everything I needed to know, why and how. My surgeon did an amazing laparoscopic procedure. I was discharged the day after surgery the only pain being the air from the procedure that traveled up to my shoulder and figuring out how to balance my two antibiotics correctly. Grateful for the fine care from the nurses snd doctors.
