In addition, there was about a one foot piece of concrete that had broken off (see pic) where they had "kind of" tried to patch it without my noticing. They were quite expedient at cashing my check after they poured the slab. And my contact at the company repeatedly reminded me of their quality and their 10-year warranty. However, when I asked them repeatedly to repair these two issues over many many weeks - they were not too efficient. They did eventually come out and repair the paint overspray. However, the broken piece was never repaired. Many weeks of promises by them to repair the damage and finish the job - but nothing, I finally had to hire another concrete company to finish the job. These are some texts from my contact at JR & R Concrete: "Been busy gonna send a guy to fix it ill let you know when tommorow" [They sent this to me weeks ago - no follow up.] "Were out of town working that's why it hasn't been repaired we are in Moore Oklahoma working been here for 2 weeks be patient nothing crucial easy fix we will be back this weekend We will fix it when we're back in town" [That was 2 weeks ago - no follow up.] My advice with JR & R, caveat emptor.

After all the rain we had earlier this Spring, we knew it was time to get some French Drains…read moreinstalled due to lots of standing water around our foundation. I contacted Water Drainage Innovations by sending a message through Yelp asking for a quote. We set up an appointment with Dennis and he came out to measure and see what was needed. He gave us a brief verbal overview in person and then sent a written proposal. After we collected all of our bids, we really liked the plan Dennis came up with. It was comprehensive and would solve our needs and the price was fair. We signed and returned the proposal. We then set up a date to start the work. It was a 2 day job to install French Drains that run along both sides of our property. They ran PVC pipe, tying in from the gutter downspouts and going under the sidewalk and out to the street. It involved cutting holes in the curb so the water could drain out. Dennis and his team did a great job throughout the entire project. They showed up when they said they would. They were professional and polite, respectful of our property, even cleaning up at the end of day one knowing they would be back the next day. We sent half the money owed at the end of day one via Zelle, and the balance after the job was complete. We are very happy with how the entire project went and highly recommend Dennis and Water Drainage Innovations. Now we just need everyone to wash their cars and windows and do a rain dance so we can watch the water drain into the street!

Juan removed the failed material, cleaned the joints properly, installed new backer rod where needed, and applied the sealant with great attention to detail. He had a quick turnaround, completed the job promptly, and left everything looking much cleaner and more professional than before. What should have been an exciting home improvement project turned into a project that I felt like I had to babysit from beginning to end. From the beginning, we experienced issue after issue. I initially worked with Tom, and unfortunately, that experience was extremely frustrating. His communication and manner of speaking to us were very unprofessional. I felt disrespected during multiple conversations, and instead of feeling like a valued customer, I often felt like I was arguing just to have legitimate concerns heard. David eventually became involved, and while I appreciated having another person involved, the issues with the actual project have continued. We have had to repeatedly point out problems and monitor the work ourselves to make sure things were being addressed. One of the biggest disappointments is the condition of our concrete. During the project, the concrete was damaged/dented and then patched with overlay. The repairs are extremely noticeable and do not blend with the surrounding concrete in either color or texture. This is not what we expected from a professional construction company, and we are very disappointed with the finished appearance. We have already paid the project in full, yet we are still left dealing with unresolved workmanship concerns. I have repeatedly asked to speak directly with the owner because at this point I feel our concerns need to be taken seriously at the highest level. I was told the owner would reach out to me, and although I have been contacted indicating that would happen, **that conversation has yet to actually take place.** The most frustrating part is that I should not have had to constantly monitor and advocate for basic quality and communication throughout a project we hired professionals to complete. I am extremely disappointed with the experience and, based on our experience, I cannot recommend Build Strong Construction & Remodeling.
