I took it to 4 places in town each telling me it was something different or recommending a certain service that would be needed. Long story short I ended up here. Communication is no bs- no fluff- no sales pitch. I appreciate that. It was refreshing to have someone talk to me about what was happening with my vehicle without feeling like I had to weed through intentions and sales. Maybe not the best social skills when it comes to customer service but I'd rather have an honest and knowledgeable repairman that tells me like it is any day of the week. I recommend and will always go back.

My wife's truck had a bunch of lights on on the dashboard. We called and spoke to Tom who wanted to know exactly which lights were on. Since we had the truck at another shop and weren't looking at it, we didn't know off the top of our head all of them that were on and he was annoyed and snappy with her. When we went in to pay, we asked for a military discount. The person at the counter told us that they have a military discount, but we would have had to inform them of it before they wrote the invoice. I asked them to rewrite the invoice so that we could get the discount and they refused to do so. Way to respect military personnel...

They returned our call and came out immediately. There was an issue with the wire in the wall, so they had to rerun wire for the outlet, it was definitely more complicated that just replacing the outlet. Israel and Aaron were very considerate while removing wood paneling wall covering and sheetrock to access needed junctions. They ended up spending half a day, tracing wires and rewiring the wall outlet. Pricing seemed fair for the work, even though it took longer than any of us thought it would. They cleaned up and put things back to the best of their ability, ran the new wiring behind the base board no no visible sheet rock damage. We had them quote fixing a 220v heater, installing 2 new 220v thermostats, running electrical to our detached garage, and upgrading the electrical box. We ended up hiring them to do all that work as well as an additional outdoor light fixture. They got all the appropriate permits and inspections (we've worked with some that don't even though they say they do) A very good experience with Quality workmanship, very considerate to clean up after themselves, and conscience of their work and environment.

Dispute Business -Travis Spears, Electric and Solar Specialists…read moreProblem - had verbal agreement, 1/2 down and the rest when job completed, and I have written proof. Business has failed to finish job; "breach of contract" because he "was afraid we wouldn't pay him". He is currently suing us for "nonpayment of invoices" outside our original agreement. Has forced me to hire another contractor to finish the work. Apparently intends to place a lien on our property at 9906 Fox Ridge Drive, Cheyenne outside our contract terms. He has repeatedly wanted to "change the agreement terms", has repeatedly "demanded we pay him in full even though he hasn't finished the job", and to date has refused to come back to finish the job. Because of his demonstrated smart-mouth, hot-headedness, egocentric nature and trigger temper, he has shown a great lack of business knowledge, no customer satisfaction knowledge, and gross lack of personal or business integrity.

OGS were great at communicating, accommodating to my schedule and got the work done at a fraction of the price quoted by others. The two gentleman showed up on time, were courteous throughout and made sure I was 100% satisfied with the project. They even made sure to get everything cleaned up and left how they found it - even better. Would highly recommend this company and I wasn't paid for this review. Great job, thank you!

One star is too generous for OGS, Off-Grid Solutions. I wouldn't trust OGS to replace a lightbulb…read more I had to hire an experienced journeyman electrician to do a forensic inspection of OGS' work and the inspection found numerous code and safety violations by OGS that required remediation. Some of the OGS' mistakes could have caused a fire. The inspector commented that the (OGS) work appeared to be done by an inexperienced person. OGS failed at every step and then extorted me to pay them immediately in cash before the work was complete and before the City electrical inspection. The even clumsily FORGED a changed contract long after the "work" was finished, changing the terms; I had never seen that contract version until 6 weeks after the work was supposed to be completed. I have since learned from OGS that an "apprentice" may have been used on the project, mostly unsupervised, which is illegal in Colorado. I believe that the reason they wanted cash before the inspection is that they didn't not expect their work to pass inspection. We had a detailed contract for a straight-forward electrical panel capacity and amp upgrade. The contract specified that two employee electricians were to take one day to complete installation of a detailed list of equipment and get the permits and inspection done. They sent one (not two) freelance "electrician", who appears to be just an apprentice who is not allowed to work without in-person supervision, who had never seen the work order and did not have a copy. The "electrician" brought and started installing a breaker box that was the wrong brand and 1/3 less capacity than the minimum specified. After a 2nd day of work, OGS were still missing parts, but demanded full cash payment; they said it was too much trouble to bring the remaining necessary parts soon. OGS deliberately delayed requesting City inspection for no valid reason--a homeowner was home every day in January. They threatened to sabotage my follow-on project if I did not pay them cash immediately before the contracted work was completed and inspected. And did. The contracted work is still not completed, weeks later. After numerous threats, I may file extortion charges against them and seek a form of restraining order. IMHO, the GUYS AT OGS ARE NUTS and certainly should not be licensed electricians. The OGS reply to this has substantial misrepresentations; no surprise. Deal with them at your own peril.
