So about the food. Like macaroni and cheese, beans, mashed potatoes looks disgusting. Chicken, deep fried potatoes deep fried chicken tastes very good. They also have lots of different sauces for it inside. Well the restrooms are average clean. The most sad part is that all this food was in a restaurant that is located inside the store. I actually wanted to grab something that is very quick to make and eat like corn dog or a pizza or hot dog. But unfortunately that didn't have none of that. Also on the outside of the store , they have semi truck parking for 15 trucks. When interstate 80 was closed I stopped here to grab some quick snacks. read more

I suspect this may also double as a breakfast spot, which is more and more the trend for fueling places these days. This one has a reasonable selection of pre-made eateries and the usual snacks. This review is actually for the Cubby's across the street 416 Platte River Rd that is not listed as a Cubby's as of now on Yelp. 07/25/21 4:01 pm. No window Washer fluid in any of the containers at the 4 gas pumps for cars. Had to go to the truck gas pumps to get Window Washer. No paper in gas pump. Had to go inside to get receipt. A customer and I both had to wait for attendant to comed back in to store. He then started complaining that I had borrowed Window Washer from Truck area even tho I had put it back. Told him he needed put some fluid in the washer containers and paper in the gas pumps. Attendant was a total a Jerk. Sent message to Cubby's about incident. Never responded back. Will never stop ar this service station again. read more

Had a fried egg sandwich, cooked perfect. Husband had a cheeseburger and said it was the best he had in a long time. Very happy with food, and friendly service. Hope to get back there soon for the cinnamon rolls. read more

An average little c-store and gas station off I-80. We stopped on our way to Colorado. It was a little dated and dingy, but they have all your bases covered. Typical Cubbys 'food' area complete all sorts of fried delights withering away under heat lamps, just waiting for a weary traveler to give in and buy them. This location did have a very friendly staff however. Talkative and pointed out some jerky on sale as I was deciding what to get. read more

I went in tonight to get some lunch because I work night shift. I purchased a chicken meal and microwaved it. I asked the cashier where the silverware was located, because the turn table was empty, he jumped up, spun around glared and pointed, never said a work but the way he did that after I politely asked a question was very unprofessional. Chris was rude and should choose a different job if he hates people that much. read more

The employees were extremely rude and acted as if you coming up to the counter to be rung up was an "inconvenience" to them. Disappointed.

As a truck driver my selection of places to stop along the interstate are very limited. Recently I've stopped at the Cubby's in Gothenburg, NE for a quick bite on the road. Both times I stopped here at 12:30 PM their roller grill and sandwich/pizza displays were completely empty. The hot case at the little Chester's looked as if the chicken had been sitting there for hours. Then as I walk to the register with a candy bar for my lunch (all they really had), the cashier never acknowledged me and acted like he had more important things to do. This store has the most disgusting shower rooms I have ever had to use. The store across the street which is somehow related was clean and nice but without showers. So I walked across the street and bought a shower. It was not even worth the $7. It was absolutely filthy. The floor was dirty. There were cockroaches dead on the floor. Garbage on the floor, presumably from the customer who showered before me. The toilet had crap splashed up in the bowl and the underside of the seat. There was no toilet paper. Mold lined the walls and vanity. Hair and dirt ran down the walls. The part of the floor that was tiled was dirty, cracked and caked with slime. There was no curtain so the shower flooded into the regular side. The shower kept switching suddenly to cold which may have been a blessing since the ventilation was obviously not working correctly. There were 2 holes in the shower that one roach climbed out of. When I complained to the attendant he said that he knew that some customers didn't pick up after themselves. No offer of money return even. I have pictures to prove all of these claims and call out the owner to make it right. I'm having problems finding out who that even is. read more
