The teachers are highly qualified, hard working, and most do a great job communicating with parents --classroom newsletters, emails when needed, a schoolwide weekly newsletter. The curriculum seems good; my son has learned a lot. There's opportunity to go ahead if a challenge is needed (like taking a higher math level). My son has had small class sizes every year except one. Students have many arts options. In addition to regular art and music, the older grades can participate in choir, orchestra, band, or school play and these teachers do an excellent job. Sometimes there are after-school clubs offered, like Pokemon club or learning another language. The PTA (it's called Parent Faculty Council here) does a fantastic job and puts on fun events for the kids, pays for classroom field trips and school wide activities during the school day as well as hosting optional evening events (arts showcase, movie night, roller skating, trunk or treat, etc.) The PFC has a main fundraiser in the fall and your child (meaning you) will be asked to participate. It's for a good cause but if you hate fundraising, maybe just donate to it yourself. I feel that this school, like most schools in this country, could use more funding and the staff higher salaries -- but that's not specific to Orchard Lane. Our family hasn't needed to use more formalized plans or additional services for academic or behavior issues but I know they are available. The teachers have worked with us informally on getting behavior where it needs to be (trouble sitting still, overly talkative, blurting out answers and so on). I think there are plans in the future to add an outdoor/nature classroom and to update the playground. These may be expensive projects so I have no idea of a timeline -- but something to look forward to.

They have great curriculum, lots of art, toys, reading, etc. Excellent in-school field trips such as police, fire, animals, clowns, pizza, etc. There is also an excellent hot lunch option that is inexpensive and healthy- and tasty from what I'm told. The staff has been caring and attentive, and create age-appropriate lessons for our child. The facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained. We love their learning curriculum and the well balanced meals provided. They use a mobile app that provides easy communication with staff, a daily activity schedule, and the much anticipated pictures we can share with our family. Our son feels right at home and looks forward to seeing his friends, teachers and staff. I appreciate the dedication of the staff in providing a safe and nurturing space for kids. Highly recommend!

My…read morethree older children, who attended AMS between 2017 and 2022, all with different learning abilities and skillsets were extremely prepared for Elmbrook Schools. The education, social, and emotional skills they all gained at AMS has propelled their learning and abilities and we are still reaping the benefits of AMS today. Our youngest, who is currently attending AMS full time, including their full-time wrap care program, absolutely loves going to school. I love the personal photos and updates from everyone at the school; the level of personal care and concern for all of my children while in the hands of the AMS staff is absolutely unmatched.
