We chose Harpor's not just for its beautiful setting, but because of the specific assurances made directly to us by the owner, Chelsie, who also served as our assigned coordinator. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect those expectations. We held our wedding at Harpor's on June 28, 2025, and purchased their premium coordination package anticipating consistent support, timely communication, and professional service throughout the planning process. However, we often had to follow up on messages, reschedule missed meetings, and take on many coordination responsibilities ourselves. Several services listed in our package such as custom venue layouts, detailed timelines, and a final confirmation meeting, were not provided. On the day of the wedding, multiple services were either mismanaged or not delivered. For example, our five-hour open bar was initially restricted, and some guests were charged for drinks during what we understood to be the prepaid period. We also paid for the venue's late-night pizza service, which was not served. When we inquired, we were told by Chelsie, "I didn't know you wanted that," though this add-on service was included in our proposal and signed agreement. Our families had to step in and help coordinate the event, including assistance in setting up tables and transporting florals from ceremony to reception, due to a lack of available staff support. After the wedding, we contacted the venue to request a partial refund for services we believe were not rendered. Our initial message went unanswered for over a week. After several follow-ups, we heard back from a different coordinator, Justice Parker, who acknowledged the issues and said they would follow up within 48 hours. That was a week ago, and we still haven't heard anything further. It has now been nearly a month since our wedding, and we are still seeking resolution for the services we believe were not delivered. We are continuing to pursue this matter privately, but wanted to share our experience so that other couples can make informed decisions.

Simply know by locals in Sedalia as "The Barn" Heritage Ranch is indeed a barn, a barn constructed to look older than it is with a mix of recycled and new materials. One for the groom's wedding party and one for the brides. . .be warned. . .these are the only two areas with air conditioning and if you are going to have a wedding in anything other than winter that barn gets toasty. . .not toasty enough for me to dock a star but tosty enough for me to say that the family that ownes it might need to look into better cooling options than the random massive fans that were everywhere. . .pordable AC units are a thing. . . LADIES! The parking for the venu is a rock field, as in the roadway is made of loose rocks, bring flats or boots and switch to heels when you get to the barn. No really Don't try to do the lot in heels. Behind the barn sits a small play area for children that we found quite functional. Remember to READ what you are signing up for though because there is a lot of clean ups you will be responsible for, you turn everything back over the way you got it. "Wow Factor Achieved"…read more I called from out of town and ordered flowers for a funeral. Since the person that passed was a long time friend of the family I was looking for the "Wow" factor. I requested a funeral arrangement that had a sewing theme to it. Not only did they have what I was looking for, I was also asked if I was a spool and needle put in the arrangement, which I took them up on. I live in the city and I spent money that would be a nice smaller arrangement. I found out after the funeral, the flower arrangement was very nice sized. I even asked if what I was spending would be big enough. I was assured it would be. It is nice that honest people still exist in the world. The deceased husband was offered a rose after the funeral was over. He elected instead to take the spool and needle from the arrangement I sent. I have ordered a lot of funeral flowers from all over the country. Sherry's Flowers were the only ones that went that extra mile and offered to add that personalized touch. Thank you again. (There was a delivery charge and I did not ask what it was, but it had to be nominal because I was told the arrangement I bought was very nice. The funeral was actually in another town 20 minutes away.)
