This was the epicentre of all things Culture Night. This old multi purpose building was transformed for one night only in to the HQ for Culture Night. It acted as an information spot where you could find out the who, what and where of the various events happening around the city for one special designated night only in a celebration of arts, music, theatre, performance (basically all things culture). As well as being an information point, over the course of the night it was also an activity ground where small kids (and big kids) could have a go at a range of arts & crafts designs. Obviously, big kid that I am, I had to have a go, and if I say so myself my deely boppers looked rather spectacular ...yes I did wear them all night long! It was brilliant having this HQ as it provided people a base point to find out about the night. Outside the venue there was also a number of performances (e.g. Ursula Burns playing the harp, the giant puppets posing for photos etc.) Oh hurry up next year so I can experience all the fun all over again! read more
