After having no success with setting up an appointment somewhere else, I called Ricky Knowles Hair & Wellness. When I say Kristen is God-sent, I absolutely mean it. I've been suffering with lymphedema for 4 years and due to the pandemic I had to go back into treatment. After treatment I met with Kristen. My recommendation is to meet with her before or during your treatment so that she can set you up for success once you reach the maintenance phase. Kristen provided me so much helpful information but what she did for me was provided solutions to accommodate my life. Her energy and positivity made me feel so much better about living with this chronic condition. If you're reading this review, you probably need her services. Schedule the appointment. You won't regret it.

Due to progressive hair loss and less than perfect results from another surgeon, I had a large gap…read morebetween my hairline and the rest of my transplanted hair. I've included photos so you can see for yourself. This looked unnatural and awkward. The exact opposite of what you hope to achieve from a hair transplant. I resigned to wearing a hat again and wasn't sure how long I'd be stuck like this. I needed a relatively small number of grafts to fix it. Several other surgeons didn't want to bother helping me or wanted to charge me a high minimum fee. Furthermore my donor area was in bad shape and they didn't want to do the hard work of finding viable grafts. A friend received great results from Dr. McGrath so I contacted his office. At this point in my hair restoration journey I've been to a handful of different hair transplant doctors worldwide and I can say easily the entire team at McGrath medical provided the most compassionate and artistically superior result of them all. From the beginning his consultant Steve carefully reviewed my needs. It was more like talking to a friend than an employee. He understood exactly what I was going through and even offered alternative strategies to fill in the gap in case it wasn't convenient for me to fly into Austin to see Dr. McGrath (from California). But after seeing my friend's results and talking to both he and Dr. McGrath I knew I needed to prioritize finding the best Dr. Not the one who was closest to me. Another issue I had with other Dr.'s is they didn't seem able to spare even 5 minutes to listen to my concerns and what I hoped to achieve. Both via video consultation and in person Dr. M reassured me we'd take as long as necessary until we both had the same understanding of what I wanted to achieve and how it would be done. In addition the price was very reasonable. The day of surgery went very smooth. Through skill and artistry he extracted 1,500 grafts and filled in all the gaps. I felt no pain and was out of there quickly. The hard wait of several months for the hair to grow passed and I am now thrilled with the result. My hairline looks totally natural. No gap and no signs of having a hair transplant at all.  When you go to Dr. McGrath you not only are getting work done by an artist but by a physician with the highest level of ethics. Highly recommended.

My name is Lance Fuller and I am the author of the hair transplant blog and YouTube channel My…read moreFollicular Journey.com. Since I was 28 years old in 2014, I have had four hair transplant procedures performed on me; two large FUT/strip surgeries by another surgeon and two FUE procedures by Dr. McGrath. My blog features hundreds of photos, dozens of posts and videos of my recovery and progress from my four procedures, all of my research into hair restoration surgery, and what I have learned from this journey. When I first started this journey in 2012, Dr. Daniel McGrath's current patient educator Steve Cook was one of the first people I ever spoke with about hair transplants. Steve worked for another surgeon at the time and he immediately impressed me with not only his extensive experience of his own transplants but also treated me like a person, and not a commission. Given the type of industry where patient educators and hair surgeons make their living based on commissions and numbers of surgeries sold, it surprised me right away when I first spoke with Steve and he recommended I NOT get a transplant. Compared with so many surgical practices that push high-pressure sales pitches into making you think you'll be bald tomorrow and needed to book surgery yesterday, Steve was the first honest person I spoke with and always has looked out for the patient. Our first time speaking together was less of a consultation and more of a Master Class on why I was losing my hair, what I could do to stop it, and what I could realistically get and gain from having a hair transplant. Although Steve is a patient educator, he is much more of a patient advocate who makes sure if you decide to have a hair transplant, you get it done right the first time and do what you can to maximize your procedure's results. In 2017, I reached the final results from my 2014 and 2015 strip surgeries. My frontal hairline was lowered and straightened out, and my temporal peaks were also built out. I was going on 31 years old but looked considerably younger and was elated. Unfortunately due to my intense weight training habits in my 20s, my linear scar stretched to the extent that I could not cut my hair as short as I wanted and parts of my frontal hairline were a little too course for my liking. My follicular journey crossed the finish line when I had my first FUE procedure with Dr. McGrath. Dr. McGrath camouflaged my scar and softened the frontal hairline so that I could cut it much shorter than I previously could, and it looked great in time for my best friend's wedding later that year. Everything from the entire restoration plan, approach of the surgery, the experienced technicians staff, post-surgical care, periodic follow-ups, and my final result was a first-class operation. Dr. McGrath is a true specialist who offers all of the latest hair transplant procedures from FUT/strip, FUE, scar revisions, temporal peaks, PRP, and Exosome therapies. He is more than qualified and knows what he is doing as he is also the former president and diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. Now that I am in my mid 30s, I teach English as a Second Language and wear my hair much longer, there is even more emphasis on my frontal hairline. On 9 May 2022, I had my fourth and final surgery via FUE to further soften my frontal hairline. I was so impressed by the job Dr. McGrath did in revising my scar that I knew exactly whom to go to for this touch-up work. I don't necessarily endorse Dr. McGrath because there are many outstanding surgeons who are ABHRS-certified, but you can't go wrong with Dr. McGrath as his countless patients can attest that he is a true professional and craftsman who puts his patients first. If you would like to know more about my hair transplant journey, you can reach me at my blog, www.myfollicularjourney.com.

After what feels…read morelike an almost life long search I believe that I have been blessed with the answer to my prayers!!! My scalp has been giving me problems off and on for years and regardless of what products I tried or what form of medication any doctor or dermatologist prescribed....NOTHING WORKED!! I was in agony and tired of suffering with my scalp condition. I began my search for a trichologist near me and stumbled across a place I consider to be a diamond in the rough... Solutions Hair Restoration and Wellness Center has gained another faithful client. I walked in the door feeling confused, self conscious defeated, and at my wits end. Everyone there was very welcoming, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Mrs. Leola was amazing to say the least. She went above and beyond to insure that I was taken care of and made it a priority to properly diagnose and treat my scalp immediately. She has afforded me a wealth of knowledge regarding my scalp condition and how it can be managed. Mrs. Tamela was awesome and has also enlightened me concerning my condition. She handled my scalp with care during treatment and also informed of every procedure and product used. Mrs. Tamela provided several alternatives for me regarding protective styling and methods to try until my scalp and hair returns to a healthy state. I am overjoyed and and thankful for being led to this wonderful, wonderful place. Although I understand that my healing may take some time, I feel much better than I did before receiving treatment. I will definitely be back.

I have been to many massage places in Houston and he is hands down the best one I have been so far. His techniques are obviously unorthodox than the average massage therapist which puts him ahead of a lot of other therapist. Moreover, I respect that he cares and treat his patient's well being and I could tell he thrives to be a better therapist through continuous learning by going beyond his limits.

This review reflects my direct personal experience. I met this practitioner through a public event…read morein Houston and later used his paid services intermittently for my family, primarily through virtual sessions. After several remote sessions last year, he suggested meeting in person while visiting Houston in January 2026. We met in a public place, where I shared updates about my family's health. During that meeting, he said he had a gift he had forgotten and led me to an isolated indoor space. Once there, his behavior abruptly changed, he started making personal statements that sounded out of line and unrelated to any professional context. He claimed a supposed "past-life" relationship between us, stating he was a king and that I had been his wife, that we met again in this lifetime for a reason. He initiated close physical contact without my consent including kissing my face, tightly holding and touching me and pressing his body against mine. He asked if I had ever thought about him. All of this felt very unexpected, frightening and inappropriate given the nature of our prior interactions and this sudden shift in behavior. I had never considered him outside of the professional context and never wanted that kind of physical closeness with him. I felt very uncomfortable and like I had been deceived. The destiny and spiritual framing he used to justify his behavior came across as misleading and implausible. I was attempting to leave multiple times, he was not giving me the space to do so and continued blocking, grabbing and touching me, repeating that it was his last time in Houston. I can only share limited details publicly but the interaction became increasingly insistent and continued to escalate despite my efforts to disengage. He was making personal comments such as that he "felt I needed more love" and that he would "miss me so much". I felt that my own expressed wishes, boundaries and comfort were being disregarded, like they did not matter. I also felt pressured and uncomfortable by the repeated attempts to keep me there and continue physical contact. I was eventually able to leave, but felt very shaken. Given the level of trust my family and I had placed in him as a practitioner, this experience was deeply disturbing to me. I sought his services for an entirely different purpose and did not expect to be approached in this way. His behavior made me feel that my trust, vulnerability, and my family members' medical situation had been taken advantage of for the wrong reasons. I would never want this to happen to someone else. In my view, his actions did not reflect any higher principles and values, quite the opposite, and I can no longer trust someone who acted like that behind closed doors. I want to add that when I later called him out about what occurred he responded minimizing the situation, again framing it in vague emotional and spiritual terms and offered only a conditional apology. I took steps to address the incident through appropriate official channels shortly after and it was taken seriously. I now want share my experience with others for awareness. I hope this can help others. According to information provided to me by the Acutonics Institute, he is not currently recognized as a licensed teacher or Certified Practitioner and has not been in contact with them for over 20 years.
