The HCG Diet requires a daily injection, which you give to yourself, and a detailed protocol to follow for a very strict low-calorie diet. I will say, with the very low-calorie diet, you will need to be prepared to be in a dedicated mindset to be successful. Do your research before you commit yourself to the 21-40 days of the diet, then maintenance phase, but man let me tell you it's so worth it, and I feel AMAZING! The six weeks just flew by too which made it that much better and I'm so glad I did it. I feel lighter, healthier and overall like a new person. And let me tell you, Patti (the owner) is a truly amazing woman. Super laid back and extremely encouraging! She will support you literally every day throughout the entire program to help you achieve your goal on your weight loss journey. I don't think I could have completed the program so successfully without her encouragement and guidance. She also requires you to text her your daily weight each morning so you can both keep track of it, which made my experience feel easier and more personal. Some personal tips from my experience with the HCG Diet: Injections: If you're nervous to give yourself an injection, don't be! I was terrified to give myself the shots at home, but after I did the first one on my own, it was a relief how easy it was. You just pinch a part of your belly fat and pop it on in. The needle is so tiny that you barley feel it go in, and the syringe is so small you don't feel anything go in. Low-Calorie Diet: MINDSET IS KEY! This is a VERY strict diet, and aside from the injections, plays the biggest role in your weight loss success. Depending on how much you want to lose, you will be on this strict diet for a minimum of 21 days, or 40 days max if you have over 30 pounds to lose. I recommend doing your research first on the HCG Diet. I'd recommend Googling "The HCG Chica" to watch her step-by-step journey, as she explains in full detail the phases you'll go through, the VLCD (Very low-calorie diet), what foods you will be restricted to, and more. The HCG injections WILL help curb your appetite, but I personally went a little further and had Phentermine prescribed to me as well to suppress my appetite further. If you follow the diet protocol perfectly, there's no doubt you will be successful! And to drop a pound a day is very exciting to look forward to every morning! Don't be nervous. I'm 34, 5'11" and was 205, now 173! For my height, that definitely made a huge difference in my appearance and how I feel mentally and health-wise. Think about it, in 30 days, you could be 30 pounds (or more) lighter! That was me! Supposedly gave me 78 units which I've never had in my life and a quarter of my face looks like it had Botox. The other looks awful. I do not recommend them at all. I used to be married to a facial plastic surgeon so I know when doctors use expired Botox or fillers. And that's exactly what they did to me. I would never suggest going to them. The first three sessions felt rushed--very quick in and out. During the third session, my back was burned, leaving red circular marks all over my back, that required silver cream and were quite painful. Coverage was inconsistent, with no clear grid system used to ensure all areas were treated evenly, resulting in patchy areas ("tiger striping"). For my final two sessions, I had a fourth technician who used a completely different approach and showed much more attention to detail. Unfortunately, by that point, the inconsistency had already impacted the overall results. The cool sculpting, 5 stars! She was amazing! Not long ago some comments were made about my age. I was 59. I'm not sure if everyone didn't get the memo but that is rude. THEN I turned 60. I was informed I couldn't get my medicine. THEN I was informed that I should go get a nuclear stress test. Now all the doors were open and my age is being discussed again with this test and everybody is talking at the same time. I had to just leave. But I know enough ex employees to know about the rule after 60 NOW. Man what a discriminatory rule. I would have been gone a long time ago if I had known that.
