As I pulled up the very seedy attendant walked out of the office with a lit cigarette, he proceeded to ask me " what do you want ?! " While blowing smoke into my face... I said " can I get 15 dollors of regular " and handed him a 20. He looked pissed and said " great now I have to make friggin change! " He than opened my gas tank and rammed the pump nozzle onto my quarter panel, he than pulled out the pump at 14.75 and spilled gas all over my car, I said " excuse me but I think you spilled fuel on my car and didn't finish pumping my gas? " He smirked and said " listen sir, I know what I am doing , relax! " As I drove away I looked in my rear view mirror to see him laughing and giving me the finger!

To when the teller behind the counter knew you by name, and often by order. Think back to a time when you had someones full attention, you didn't have to fight other customers, the phone, the computer and countless other sources of distraction. This is what is its like to be here and cared for.. Now don't get me wrong, I understand that times have changed and it is not possible to run a store just as it would have been back then, but there are some key aspects that can be taken away. Real customers come first. The ones who took the time to walk in your front door and stand in front of your counter with a wallet in their hand deserve your full attention and you get 110% of that with Ed, Im a 34 year old who appreciates quality and I will be back. I saw the grill in the back and thought, "No one can screw up a BLT, so why not?". This is me willfully ignoring the fact that, during peak COVID season, the woman making the sandwiches was incorrectly wearing her mask, fully nose-breathing on all the food she prepared. Twenty five minutes later, I opened my sandwich bag and smelled Chinese food. Specifically, the pink boneless pork strips that come with a Pu Pu Platter. Seeing as how I was now 1/7th of the way into my drive, I convinced myself that it was just the residue from a dirty grill. So, disturbing (stupid?) as it sounds, I choked down the sandwich - it was, after all, meant to be my lunch. It was the most disgusting BLT of my life, followed by a rare case of severe heartburn. You would think that said heartburn might be somewhat mitigated by the metric ton of bland bread that comprised 4/5ths of the meal, but you'd be wrong. Besides having a friend at my destination smell the empty bag (just to see his facial expression when he learned that a BLT produced that bouquet), I thought that was the end of it. I learned better, a couple hours later. If you've had food poisoning before, you know what came next, and I will spare you the grisly details. Needless to say, it was several days before I felt myself again, and the first half of my visit was a bust. The fact that my 12 oz. can of unsweetened, black coffee was $1 more than I have ever paid, anywhere else ($3.99, which I did not see until I viewed my receipt) was just another kick when I was already down. Screw this place. I liked, however, that they have a role of plastic bags by the pumps, eliminating the need to use a paper towel, when touching public surfaces. Though, all in all, I'd rather use the paper and not be poisoned.

They told me my car needed a lot more than it really did. Their alleged price for parts was out of this world. I asked what their labor rate was and was told they didn't know. The guy who helped me at the counter, and worked on my car shouldn't deal with customers. There were also about half a dozen people just standing around eating pizza. Maybe their high costs reflect running a heavy crew? Came here because I thought it would be quick and convenient. Ended up sucking it up and actually making an appt elsewhere and my car was fixed for less than half Towne Lube Express quoted me. My personal opinion is this is a "drive in" "convenient" state inspection place that feels like once they have your car they have the upper hand. Don't be passive and just accept their quote. Don't be bullied. Now I am VERY curious what happens to this place after January 2026 when allegedly New Hampshire stops requiring inspection stickers. Enjoy just doing oil changes for the people too busy to make appointments elsewhere!
