Gas prices here seem to be higher than most gas stations in town. There's not much to say about the store, other than it's small and has a very basic selection of snacks and drinks. On the other hand, the filling covers for the underground gas tanks are in front of most of the parking lot's spaces, to the right of the store. Once, I had parked in one of those spaces and was about to eat lunch in my work truck, when a tanker truck came to make a fuel delivery and warned that I would be blocked in if I didn't move. The employee who was the cashier this afternoon was pleasant, but on a previous visit, the cashier, an older woman, literally threw the bills on the counter, instead of handing me my change. All in all, it's a convenient location to get gas and a quick snack, but otherwise, there's nothing special or remarkable about this place. It can be a bit tricky to pull out of here, given the speed motorists travel on Route 3.

Cold drinks, chips, candy, many types of coffee, do uts, hot dogs, ice cream. There are also some car items like wiper blades and oil. Then, they have some hats and shoes. So for a small store, they get a lot in there. Public restrooms are straight back from the store entrance. There are several gas pumps in a large area in front. The gas prices were high for our neighborhood, but as the pumps were in high demand it's either on par for this neighborhood, or they get a lot of highway traffic. It is located right off the highway with easy on/off access. Prices are high and food options not the healthiest, but they have plenty to fill your belly or caffeinate your brain.

I don't know if that is normally the case, and may change when they get a new gasoline delivery, but it's good to see that at least they're holding the line for now. Some reviews (there is a duplicate page of this business) dogged the cashiers, and I guess it depends on who you get, but on my visit, the younger female cashier was very polite. The price of gas is always competitive, if not the lowest in the area. I signed up for the Smart Pay program and save 10 cents a gallon on gas every time. Additionally, I gain rewards from time to time and am able to pick up free items like drinks and snacks. Craving a late night snack? Need milk for breakfast? Ready-made food for lunch? ATM? This is your place. I come here for the newspaper on weekends, the occasional splurge for sweets, and to gas up my vehicle. The staff are pleasant and helpful. If I have to wait at the register it's simply because the employees are busy bees tending to the hot foods, cleaning shelves, or the like. My only gripe with this location is the parking situation. There's a number of spots but they're closely spaced and in the direct path of people swinging in and out of the gas pumps. I always have to pull out of my space with extra caution because I've had a number of narrow misses trying to exit. All in all, a great option for this area.

I must have driven by at least a dozen gas stations spread over three towns yesterday, and Tiogue Gas was BY FAR the cheapest of ANYONE. It's amazing how much gas prices range. Tiogue Gas was charging $2.21 (not including the 9/10 cent) for regular, whereas most places were around $2.35. And, they were an incredible 28 cents lower than the Shell gas station at the corner of Tiogue Avenue and Hopkins Hill Road, which was selling regular unleaded for $2.49!
