I brought in two tanks to be filled, and right away, things went south when I got back to my house. Both tanks were hissing and popping - extremely dangerous. When we brought them back and I brought it to their attention, the young kid admitted he'd overfilled them because he was "busy." Then, an older guy came out and started arguing that it was a bad valve, even though the tanks were perfectly fine before we brought them in. Instead of fixing their mistake, they strong-armed us into buying a whole new tank at full price! No discount, no apology, just terrible customer service and a dangerous situation. Avoid this place if you value your safety and your wallet. It's too bad because we give them business every single month. We will be moving on from them.

But they charge the higher credit card price when I use my Sunoco card. I noticed this and went in to explain the situation (not to get my $4) and was met with an angry, hostile little man that stated, "I just work here." Ok, I understand that. No need to be rude, but I understand. So I stopped going and called Sunoco to resolve the problem. They sent a gift card and said they'd speak to the station owner. I go back to the station one more time to ask if my card will ring up at the credit card price or the cash price before pumping. The man, who I am assuming is the owner, and his wife are talking. I patiently wait for them to finish and when they finally do the man tries to be polite and and asks what he can do. I ask, if I use my Sunoco card will it ring up the cash price or the credit price and he says, "it's a credit card it's credit card price." With a little zing on it. So I explain the policy as it pertains to Sunoco cards and he repeats his previous statement. I leave, never to return.

I told him it only had a pair of shorts in it and I was just getting out my credit card to which he replied it doesn't matter. You would've thought I kicked over a display. I don't care where you are that disrespect is uncalled for. If an ice cream chest can't handle a backpack with shorts in it I'm sure it can't handle kids leaning on it. This is a gas station on a busy road with no business. I can see why. Just moved to the area and I will gladly pay more to go to another gas station (even though I looked and they are more expensive than others around). I guess they make up for the lack of customers with higher prices and terrible service.

The price per gallon is usually one of the cheapest in Wallingford so I never have to worry about whether another station nearby is cheaper (Yes, I'm one of those people that hunt for cheap gas stations to fill-up). Went in to chat with one of the attendants one time because my card wasn't working, he was really friendly and helped me pay for it inside. Definitely recommend this place! The lot up front is a little small but it's manageable.

This Cumberland farms is smaller, it doesn't have the freshly heated up food or half of the stuff…read morethe larger Cumberland Farms have. It's also missing fountain sodas. It's gas is a little higher priced than the one in Wallingford as well. Sometimes I go out of my way to another one if I want something from Cumberland Farms because this one has a quarter of the stuff. However, it's close by so it is convenient for me if I need something quick or procrastinated and need gas now. But more than a few times I've gone in there looking for something and left and went to a different Cumberland farms.

Citgo Food Mart, situated directly adjacent to Oakdale Theater, must see a lot of traffic before and after concerts. They've got gas pumps, a very small parking lot, and... almost nothing inside the food mart itself. The shelves were nearly completely empty (no joke, I should have taken a picture), but it wasn't like they'd just been wiped clean by concert goers. Much of the shelves had a few sparse items covered with dust, some of the packaging sun-bleached with age. Bizarre wouldn't even begin to describe it. They literally had nothing we wanted. We ended up buying a bag of Chex Mix, which we munched in the truck before heading into Oakdale. When paying, we decided to pay cash, since we were only buying something for ~$2 or whatever (a nice gesture that most businesses would appreciate). When we handed him a $20, as that was all we had, he said "You don't have anything smaller?" We politely said no, and he shook his head, as if we were inconveniencing him in some way. When in the area, attending a concert at Oakdale, avoid this Citgo if at all possible. I can all but guarantee that they won't have anything you want, let alone anything you need. Stop elsewhere.
