Don't come here if you ever need to cancel or reschedule appointments due to family emergencies or illness......I woke up the day of an appointment and had a medical issue, I called to reschedule appointment for the next week. I was told to call back when I knew I could come in. I told her that I would know by appointment time next week. I was rudely told she wouldn't reschedule me for next week until I knew for sure because I was "BAD SCHEDULING". I inquired what that meant. She proceeded to tell me that because I had rescheduled a couple times in the past I was "BAD SCHEDULING" Excuse anyone from ever needing to reschedule an appointment here!!!! Excuse family emergencies, illness or everyday life........JUST DON'T schedule here in the first place. read more

I did my eye exam at the Covington Plaza location and the lady there would only offer me the progressive lens with the line in it. She keep pushing the line ones and I told her I would do standard glasses b4 I do the line. Mind you I have insurance and money to pay. I had to ask for cost of other progressive lens. She said she couldn't get my insurance info to see costs or what all is covered. But she did find my insurance for billing. The white manager walked behind me and asked to touch my hair. The whole experience was unprofessional. I got glasses and the prescription was way to strong. I called coliseum location to see if I could come there to have them redo my exam bc I didn't like my experience at west location they said I could. Get there they reviewed everything and offered me to pay more for upgraded progressive lens to see if it fixes the problem. I told them I think prescription is wrong and want a second option which is why I asked if this was something they could do. Once I drove from Indy to get there they said oh well you have to go back west and have them redo the exam. I call west tell them I want to come in for new exam. They said they put my prescription in wrong and they can make the change and just order new lens no need to come in. At this point I need to see what the Dr gave you vs what was put in and I still want a new exam b4 anything else is ordered. She has me drive from north location to west to tell me there isn't a Dr. In to do exam and I have to come back. I make appt drived back from indy again. New eye Dr tells me the first prescription was wrong and she fixed it. I pay for the upgraded progressive lens to make sure this isn't part of the problem. Go back to pick up glasses and they are still wrong. We are now at 6 back and forth trips from indy to fort wayne so at this point I want a refund. They say I now have to come to the north office so they can triple check ( which is what I asked for the 2nd time and they said no) 3rd time they just copy prescription from my old exam from another Dr. That I provided them showing the drastic difference in short amount of time. I tell them I want a refund and they say they can only refund the frames not the lenes bc the lens is my prescription so that can't be refunded. The whole problem is it's not my prescription bc you keep getting it wrong. I would not recommend either location. read more

We arrived to this eye dr and we received nothing but attitude. After three calls with them and a call to Medicaid, we were told the diabetic eye exam could be done every year, The call with Medicaid confirmed that a standard eye exam would be covered. However, when we arrived for the exam we were told that in order to get the regular eye exam we would have to pay a copay. I am totally disappointed in this eye doctor. I would not recommend these people this eye dr or this business to anyone. One star is too high for them. Good or Great customer service goes a long way. read more

If I could mark 6 stars I would. My sons are hard on glasses, shoes, and clothes. I find that I replace those items frequently. I came to Cunningham thinking I'd just have a quick exam, for the second time this year for my son. The doctor we saw was professional, succinct, and extremely helpful. As it turns out, my son requires further follow up with a pediatric ophthalmologist. I'm certainly glad this information was provided to me now, and a little dismayed that the previous "quick hour" place didn't inform me of this 6 months ago. Dr Rutan saw my son, then immediately had a follow up consultation with me to discuss his finding and recommendations. I appreciated this immensely. As with all things, you get what you pay for. I'm so happy to have made my appointment here. I'd recommend this business to anyone. I'd also make sure to add, all good things take time, care, and effort, all these things were offered to my family and me today. read more

They held my frames so I could pick up my prescription and even gave me a discount since my insurance was out of network! The only positive about this place is the variety of frames they have. The eye doctor was condescending at best. He made me schedule 3 appointments for contact fitting when I wasn't even new to the world of contact lenses. He didn't respect my opinions for when I described how certain brands were uncomfortable and told me I had to try those brands before he'd hand over my prescription so I could place my order. The staff had poor communication and failed to get back with me when I tried to order contacts. I'll be taking my business elsewhere next time even if it requires me going out of my insurance network. read more

First let me say the selection of eyeglasses is amazing. They have the newest and trendy styles. The sales staff are generally very helpful. However, the tension from the ?manager and manager in training? is palpable. They are not helpful when it comes to customers they just wonder around making sure nothing was missing shouting out periodically, "who has the (designer) frames". When associates did ask the elder woman questions she would mutter something inaudible and walk off. They did however make it clear at 5:30 they were going to be locking the doors at 6:00 regardless of my being in there or not. If they are making it such a point to be gone by 6:00. Try posting your hours as closing sooner. This may help ensure a timely departure without dismissing your customers. The prices are outrageous as well. Honestly, if they didn't have Ms. Tran who was very professional helping me I would have just walked out. read more
